I couldn't really decide between 4 and 5 stars but went with 5 because it's a great product that's brand new, no rust, scratched tires, etc. So in this line they added more metal and the older 70s logo is back. This toy in the 70s had two levers for the bucket as this new one has only one lever and like more recent models it is plastic and huge. There is a lot of metal in this one and the bucket IS metal. The arms are not. I'm not sure why they chose to use so much body metal and plastic on the main working part. It's not a problem as I'm an adult who just wanted this for nostalgia not wanting to get an actual 70s one that's rusted or bent with a lot of play wear. Of course these are indeed toys and I do think this toy would hold up to quite a bit of use. These things are huge and I know that's why MINE has to live outside...no muddy, dented, rusty huge toys inside. I'm not a purist when it comes to Tonka...but I don't want to pay much for old beat up things. The price I paid for this seems very reasonable compared to a vintage one to do what this will do...sit on a shelf....take down every now and then to marvel over. Very nostalgic even if they are NOT reproduction pieces. The one handle actually works really well so it's not a problem. There are two versions of the mighty loader so if you want the one with the MOST metal, it's this one. Excellent quality product to delight anyone. People say their kids are so rough on toys....I don't know what on earth they do to them but this is a sturdy toy. If the kid is really destructive stick with the dump truck because either current version is practically indestructible.

Tonka trucks have always been loved by young boys in my life . They are built very well and stand up to boy play. The usually last to be passed on to another generation. Purchased this for a 3 year boy who loves to play outdoors and has lots of areas to dig. His mom says he absolutely love it.

Superior quality, and the grandson is enjoying it. Built to take rough use and not even a scratch, great product. Tonka is the way to go. The toys will out last this generation so sturdy!!

My son is 2 and received one for Christmas from Santa. It’s his favorite toy right now, he rolls it all around the house, lifts the dump truck and rides it around as well. I can’t wait until spring when he can bring it outside. He loves all things trucks and this one is definitely built to last a lifetime. All metal frame and plastic windows/wheels. Almost exactly like the one I had as a kiddo.

Bought this for my son and he loves it. He is one and loves to push it around, put his toys in it and sit in it lol. It was worth the cost, the size is large which makes it even more fun for the kids. It can be played with inside or outside. It's heavy duty and sturdy. If your considering it go for it!

My grandson loves this truck! It’s definitely higher quality than other trucks that are available these days, it feels like the good old Tonka trucks from 40 years ago. It’s the body is metal which gives it a very sturdy and solid feel.

So glad we could buy metal ones again! They will hold up with the kids wear and tear for years to come. I wish they made the entire line in metal not just the dump truck and the front loader. There are still plastic parts which I don’t remember the original having but the at could be my memory

Ordered this for my grandson and he is loving it along with his other Tonka collection!!

Bought for my grandson who loves everything trucks. This reminded me of what I seen boys play with when I was growing up. Love the retro style and did not disappoint.
