I buy lots of steaks and chicken breasts from wholesale suppliers on the Internet (foods for your muscle etc.), so I open the packs that the meat arrives in, repack them in these Ziploc bags in pairs and then pop them in the freezer. The seal is great, better that the sticky kind, and no liquids escape (they are also very airtight, so you have to squish them before you seal them). Better value in a four box pack than buying single boxes and 54 bags in each box. There is a tear off part in the top of the box similar to a box of tissues so you can take them out one at a time and all the rest stay in the box. I will only use Ziploc from now on.

These have got to be one of the best food bags I have ever had. It stopped burgers and chicken getting ice all over them, and useful for defrosting as stops the blood leaking everywhere. They are airtight, you can squeeze all the air out and fasten them. I even gave my mum one of the boxes. In fact, the bags are so good, ive not just used them for food! I used them to put spare hdmi leads and cables in, as I can squeeze out the air. This means they take a lot less space,and easy to post out if I need to post them as it weighs less. I will get these again and maybe other sizes as well

I bought these based on the positive reviews, as I have been struggling to find freezer bags that were good quality. I freeze my baby food in ice cube trays and transfer them into these bags after labelling the front of the bag with a CD marker. They are thicker, and therefore stronger, that other brands (such as supermarket brands), and also just the right size - all the other brands I've tried were either too big or too small. Unfortunately I feel I have to deduct one star as the bags have ripped several times on me. I open and shut these bag and average of 12 times when removing cubes of baby food, and don't consider this exceptionally heavy or unreasonable usage.

I would never have thought myself the sort of person to become over excited about a plastic bag - but evidently I am. These are thick and strong with a really tight seal. They are even microwavable, if they are vented by an inch. They are also BPA free. They have organised my fridge and freezer and even my toddler's jigsaw collection! Brilliant.

Great product. Makes freezer meals so much easier for weight loss plan. They are better than other freezer bags that I have previously brought as they are more durable. Previous bags have stuck to the food that I have frozen whereas these bags have not done that. The food comes out quite easily. The added bonus is that the bags can be used in the freezer to both defrost and cook the food if need be.

I've used these for a long while, used to buy from Costco but no longer able to visit a store. I was so pleased when I found them on Amazon. They are really strong and the closure is really good. I wouldn't use anything else

Have been using these bags now for 2 years mainly for frozen fruit and veg from my allotment. They each get used several times, very tough, almost impossible to tear them and the don't come open. The press together fastening is much better than any of the zip types that I've use. I usually put 4 or 5 of these quart bags with about a kilo of frozen fruit or veg altogether into a larger but less substantial bag, then into the freezer. Also good for freezing homemade soup.

If you haven't used these bag because they are not sold in our supermarkets, give them a go. They are strong, they don't leak and they protect food from freezer burn.
