Delicious Italian coffee
This was our second order because these beans make an absolutely wonderful coffee especially with a moka pot. It’s strong but balanced, and not bitter in my experience. I’m hooked. A bit pricey but a nice occasional treat.

Highly Recommended for Espresso Junkies
I enjoy the challenge of creating world class coffee at home. Coffee is truly one of life's simple pleasures, but getting outstanding results at home comes down to a quality machine, technique, and of course, THE COFFEE! To keep it simple, you have to control the variables. Ultimately, it comes down to quality coffee and the grind size. My equipment is a Profitec Pro 500 PID espresso machine, a Baratza Vario ceramic burr grinder, and a calibrated ESPRO 58mm flat tamper. I use a Best Water Technology (BWT) Pitcher Filter for my purified well water supply and the Filicori Zecchini Delicato was suggested by the Profitec retailer. My previous go to brand was Lavazza Super Crema, which also produces a consistent pull. In the past four kilos of the Lavazza beans, I have had two occasions where my ceramic burr grinder sounded like it was grinding on a pebble, bark, or maybe an unroasted bean. I immediately shut it down and emptied the hopper of beans and tapped the mid-grind debris onto a paper plate, but could not find the cause. The second time this happened required a new drive belt and knocked out my Vario for about ten days. Anyhow, this got me to finally break with the Lavazza Super Crema and try the Filicori Zecchini Delicato. My first impression was that the beans look beautiful, both consistent and rich in color and aroma. My first pull was an eye opener! The coffee flavor was intense, yet smooth as silk. I absolutely love this coffee and have experimented with it to produce amazing regular espresso, Cuban style, Americana, Lattes and Cappuchinos that are all fantastic. Additionally, the price of this coffee is competitive and a good value here at Amazon. I live in a rural area that does have a local coffee roaster. Their coffee choices are many, but it's hard for me to get past their prices for a 12oz bag. I also don't believe they get the turnover of product to totally convince me their "fresh roasted" product has merit, since they don't even put a date on the bag. My first bag of Delicato was plenty fresh for my taste and at a fair price. Try a bag and see for yourself. I am very happy with the product and glad I followed my retailer's suggestion.

Great espresso beans!
After much trial and error, I finally found “the beans of my dreams.“ I like a “structurally sound“ cup of coffee that is robust .Filicori Delicato espresso beans make a bold, rich and flavorful cup of espresso or an American style coffee. They produce a nice crema and an aroma-filled cup of coffee to start off your day with what has become as much a necessity as a guilty pleasure. Plus, if you discover that your beans are running low you can get them delivered really quickly so you don’t have to go without your daily dose.

Excellent aroma and taste!
This blend of beans has a great aroma and when done in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio produces an espresso with nice crema and great taste that fills your palette and lingers for a while. I didn't like the fact that the bag had an 11/2018 roast date and I got this on 2/2018 (over three months) but it was still decent. I hope that next time I get these beans the roast date will be no more than a month to experience more of it subtleties. Update 5/2019: Got another bag of Delicato and STILL the roasted date was 11/2018! This is just unacceptable as subtleties in aroma and flavor are being lost with 6 month old beans. I don't expect to have beans 2 weeks from roasted as if I was purchasing from a local roaster BUT at least 4 - 6 weeks maximum. Otherwise I'll start cancelling my recurring orders. Deducted one star from original rating.

Great taste medium dark with lower acidity
This review is for the Forte medium dark. Very good because it is a medium dark it has a lower acidity and very good crema. Very happy especially since I do not like milk drinks. However, family members enjoy it greatly with milk drinks

Wonderful cup of espresso
Perfection in every cup, I love my coffee black, and these beans deliver true satisfaction whether it's an espresso or an Americano. I have tried tons of beans from east to west, and this is currently at the top of my list. Balanced, rich, and full-bodied. Can't wait to try other roasts from this company. This is a medium roast done right, thick crema complements the symphony with chocolate notes and nutty flavors. a must try for espresso fans.
