Just received. Hand washed and put on the dish rack. Accidentally dropped the lid on the vinyl floor and the plastic parts all broke apart. It is a waste of money now. I had a Hawkins before that you could not break. Lasted for many years. This was a disappointment. Extremely poor durability. Otherwise looks good.

The Product was in open damaged package, it dose not look like new! It may be a return product!!!! This is unacceptable , I paid for new item.

Never used a pressure cooker before but I was coming across so many good recipes that needed me to either work several days ahead to really cook the meat or pop them into a pressure cooker to get the job done and I decided to finally give one a shot. This pressure cooker had such high reviews as well as a reasonable build (I had seen it recommended in other places) so I was excited to give it a try. I had a few fears in using a pressure cooker for the first time but I found this one to be relatively encouraging for newbies. Instructions were relatively clear and encouraged you to do a first use trial that let you get used to reading the gauge and operating the cooker as well as seeing what the results and process of opening and operating it would be like. Using it has required a learning curve but I can say that comes more from my inexperience than the product itself. The handle and lid are easy to operate and remove and the cook time might require a little approximation but you learn how to read recipes and adjust your cooking time to accommodate for it. End results are so satisfying. Imagine being able to get perfectly tender stewed beef in just under 30 minutes? It makes so many of my cooking plans so much easier to attain and I can whip up things such as beef or ox tail in a jiffy. Be mindful of water and pressure levels but outside of that I think you'll be satisfied with the results too.
