Rysamton - Portable AM/FM digital radio recorder, Bluetooth 5.0 speaker, alarm and sleep function, 12/24 hour time display with large digital display

This AM/FM Radio/Mp3 Player & Recorder is very impressive for its small size and low cost. I was looking for a small battery powered AM/FM radio to listen to Talk Radio on my tractor while mowing fields. Even though the audio quality through its internal speaker is impressive for its size, I plan to use wired headsets which makes it sound even better. The built-in Mp3 Player, which can also be used to record voice or radio, is a plus for me since I ocassionally will want to record some of what I hear for playback to my wife later. And the recorded Mp3 audio file is better quality than what comes from the speaker when played back on a better sound system. However, you must install your own 32GB max Micro SD card for the record function to work. Another unit that I purchased and returned for this one, was more expensive, the display was hard to see in sunlight unlike this backlit LCD display, and was subject to noise interferrence even on the FM band, which I have not had on this unit. It also had no internal speaker, just a headset jack which must be used for radio reception since the headset cord becomes the antenna. This uint has its own built-in telescopic antenna for the FM band and an internal Magnetic internal antenna for the AM band so the FM antenna can stay retracted when using AM. Both the AM and FM reception sensitivity is as good or better than the radio in my new 2024 truck. It also has a built-in digital clock which be handy on the tractor since I don't carry my smartphone on the tractor for fear of dirt, dust, vibration and rain damage. It came with very detailed (real English) accurate instructions and the keypad controls are very user friendly with just a little practice. It has a USB Type C charging port which is compatible with all of my newer battery chargers. Even though it comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, you have to supply the 5Vdc charging cube. At this point, I have not used it enough to know if the battery does indeed last 20 hours as advertised. But I will not be suprised if it does and perhaps even longer while using headsets. The only dissappointment was that the included Bluetooth 5.0 feature acts only as a receiver so that you can broadcast from your phone to this unit but not a transmitter to connect to wireless earbuds, which it states clearly in the product description. Basically, it does everything the ad purports and I highly recommend it as a good and safe purchase for the money.

This is a great little radio! I got it for work so I can play music at a low volume in my office. The sound quality is good. No issues getting radio signal, and Bluetooth connectivity was very easy. I love that it isn’t just a Bluetooth speaker, I like the radio quality sound. The sound isn’t crisp with a booming bass, it’s smooth. It’s soothing and homey. 10/10 purchase, especially for the cost.

I got this for a drive in theatre and it worked great! The volume was plenty loud enough, even with the lift gate open. We only needed the volume up about halfway to hear perfectly. If you’re hard of hearing, this is a good option. I don’t usually read instructions, opting rather to figure it out, and it was pretty simple! Prob would’ve been easier if I knew exactly what each button did, but it only took about a minute to figure it out. The movies were a double feature, and the battery lasted the full five hours it was on. I know it’s advertised as about 20+ hours per full charge, and I haven’t needed to try it that long, but the 5+ was already better than I expected TBH! Definitely recommend if you’re in the market for a nifty, travel friendly, loud (but adjustable), FM radio

I have a bunch of these small radios. A simple turning on and off is what I want to listen to the radio. This Rysamton is not one of them. First the pros. Everything works and it sounds great with the bass port in the back. You can also add and delete the presets. It has a clock to tell time. Buttons are well spaced and soft to press. The screen is easy to read. Battery life is great. However, this Rysamton is very cumbersome to use. You have to hold and press multiple buttons to turn on the radio. The biggest issue for me is that the Rysamton does not remember the last volume level. It remembers your last radio station but not the volume level. It is default to 20 out of 30 which is way too loud for me. I listen at 10. It has a standby and off feature. The radio will continue to play no problem. You press the power button once to put it to standby. The Rysamton will then show the clock. After awhile, it will turn itself off completely. Turning itself off is the issue. It forgets the volume level after it is off. 3 stars from me. Hope this help.
