Very good game my 5 year old loves it
Very good game my 5 year old loves it. This is better than the 'oceans riders' game which is just addition and simple. Only issue is the markers are made of cardboard flimsy and keep falling down.

So the packaging is very attractive and definitely gets children's attention, the board itself looks very simple but fun and has space ships on with lots of bold/bright colours, the players are aliens which is great for children of both sees, my daughter loved that she could name her own character whatever she wanted, fab for children to have a little giggle before even starting the game, as you can imagine they come up with some funny and interesting names haa I love playing board games with my daughter even better that their educational and get her brain working, now with my little madam only being 3 this is aimed at slightly older children but she really enjoyed trying her best to add the numbers and find where she needs to be its especially great to get children of her age interested in doing maths and introducing them to fun ways of learning. The older children especially enjoyed this game and understood the instructions well and it's great that you get children can join in with their older siblings with a little help, I also love ANYTHING that means I get a little bit of peace for 5 minutes, anything that works gets 5 stars in my eyes haaa I love how this get gets their brains working and learning without them even realising they just think their playing a fun game... Brilliant

This is a simple, fun and quick to play math game that can be played 3 different ways. Focuses on single digit subtraction from 50 and less. Depending on the ages playing you may need to help them by breaking down the math so it’s easier to visualize in their heads, but I’m sure older kids can play this independently and will still have fun.

Very clever game which would appeal to a broad age and ability range. The numeracy skills necessary involve adding or subtracting a single digit number (0-9) to a two digit number (0-50). You could always use a number line if your child is only just beginning to add/subtract. Since each player has two "monsters" and can decide which to move on each turn the game can actually develop relatively sophisticated strategy if you want it to so would also appeal to older children who can add and subtract confidently. Unlike a lot of the orchard toys range this game really is engaging and doesn't feel like "work" to the children. My only criticism is that when you get to the end of the game in order to land your final piece on the lillypad" which was number 20 and win the game you have to get the exact number required which on a 10 sided dice will take an average of 10 goes. By this time it all gets a bit boring since it comes down to complete luck. The game would have been better if they're had been two or three "lillypad" numbers so you wouldn't have to spend five minutes throwing dice endlessly at the end of the game which gets boring.

Great game to help with Maths. My son struggled with counting down from one number to another so I made a numberline which helped. I did think it was a little on the expensive side for what was in the game but for a teaching aid for my son I didn’t mind getting it. The aliens don’t stay clipped together very well so had to tape them.
