Yoolax Smart Cellular Shades, Motorized Right Trapezoid Honeycomb Blinds Motorized Blinds with Remote Compatible with Alexa, Customized Isosceles Trapezoid Window Shades (Blackout Dark Grey)

We wanted a motorized shade for a high arch window. This one was perfect. It was easy to order, and came with clear instructions to install. Also several videos on the sellers website. Very reasonable price, too.

In general and so far, the product is great for the cost. There are very few alternatives. I’ll let the video speak for itself. I needed support to get the blinds aligned. They were responsive but not much help. I ended up figuring it out. Just know, there is a way. Installation is easy but one of mine was 1/8 too long. I had to improvise. I’d lean on the shorter end when measuring.

I ordered 3 of these, 2 separate orders so that I could get one lightwhirl remote that I had intended to use for all three. Instead I received a white rectangular remote. The shades were cut weird, leaving a small rectangle at the top and the sides were not rounded enough to fit my arch window correctly. I was not able to pair a shade with the remote or the Yoolox app. I tried to return, and though it said “returnable through November 7th”, when I tried it said, “ Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. However, for health and safety reasons we cannot accept return of this item.” These were not cheap :( Update: raised to three stars because customer service did refund me for two of the blinds.

Had some challenges with the mounting system, but that was due to my not having window framing under the blind. They cannot be mounted to the sides of the window casing. Customer service was excellent though, and the blind looks well constructed.

This was just the sample kit. I actually have eight 6+ foot arched windows that utilize this type of shade so I very excited to see these options. The colors and materials in the sample kit make it easy to determine if these will be a good fit for your home. I'm unsure about the durability or fit and finish of the actual shades since this was just the samples, but they appear to be of good quality compared to the cellular shades I currently have and which ones have held up well. I may order the full products at a later date once we decide on the proper color, although the samples are not foil lined so question if they will provide true black out functionality which is what I need for the ones I would install in the bedrooms. The black interior versions are described as blackout, but I question that in practice without a true foil lining.

Measurements sent were exact. Shade motor box is much bigger and bulkier than advertised and made it not fit in the window without taking off parts. Despite give exact measurements, these are not custom built. Had to trim parts of the shade so that it didnt get stuck to window. Very bulk and visible from outside, was hoping it would blend better in the frame of the window. Only reason Im not pissed is that its in my bedroom and not a main room where guests can see. Way too expensive for what you get.

Positives: Customer service is good. Easy to install. Works well. I've used it twice a day for 3 months and haven't had to charge it yet. Negative: The price listed is the minimum possible price. In my case, the actual item cost about $150 more. Still I would say it was worth it.

I LOVE these blinds! I had a hard time finding motorized trapezoid shaped blinds that were reasonably priced. They needed some adjustments after installation, but not too bad. My adult son helped put them up. 12 foot peak ceiling. Very, very happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend.
