I t works pretty much as described, but with one MAJOR issue. The device assumes it has exclusive access to both input lines. When the phone is taken off hook, BOTH input lines are taken off hook. You can select which one is used using ## as described in the instructions.What this means is if you have any other phones on one of the input lines they will not work even when only the other line is in use. Here is an example:Say you have a home phone line with other phones around the house. This line is connected to line 1.You have a home office with your office business line attached to line 2. You office phone is connected to the phone port so you can make and answer calls on both lines.If you are using your office line (line 2), the home line (line 1) is *not* available. If someone else in the house uses the home line (line 1) from another phone then your business line (line 2) is not available.If a call comes in while a call is in process on either line, the device will not ring and the caller will be sent to voicemail.So this device is only appropriate when there is no wat both lines are needed to be used at the same time.

It works as described. It now comes in a rectangular case with the three ports on one side.
