MR. RESIN Black Line New Formula! - Extra Yellow Resistance and Lower Odor! UV Resin for Jewelry & Keychain Making, Rock Painting and More. (1kg Resin)

My sister and I make a variety of stuff, but our biggest seller is our crochet hooks. This new formula does take longer to cure, but it is stronger. The original is way more flexible. The image I have attached is with a gallon of water suspended from the 10mm hook we make. There is a noticeable difference in the flex. While the new formula does flex, and really it is unreasonable to expect 0 flex with ~8lbs suspended from it, the new formula bends less. Line for reference. There is less odor, too. Something that makes me really uneasy about using UV resins is the odor, and both the original and this new hybrid formula are great. The Hybrid has less odor overall. This resin will wrinkle a little bit, like the original. I have found this to be only noticeable if the product is 100% clear. Adding just about anything either stops the wrinkles, or distracts from them enough to not notice(which means they are small and not worthy or worrying over in colored pieces) This new formula does take around twice as long to cure as the original. We use a 4x5 grid 20W LED UV lamp in a reflective box Bubbles are a lot less, as this is indeed a much thinner resin than the original. Getting the bubbles out of the hook at the tip of our molds has always been a challenge, even with 2-part resins. This stuff is so thin it really has made our job so much more easy. It just naturally creeps into the cracks and spots you would need to tap to release air from.

Takes a lot longer of a time to cure. After cured still can get finger prints and scuffs more easily compared to the original formula. This takes upwards of 10-15 minutes to get as hard as it can. The previous formula only needed 4-5 minutes. Not happy with this formula.

This definitely will be good for any project where the low viscosity is needed. I noticed less bubbles than the original. I love the original white label and have been using mr. Resin for over 2 years now. The customer service is unmatched. I’ve had to reach out to them multiple times and they always are helpful and resolve any issues. If you want something a little thicker try the white label! This company has the Best uv resin I’ve used and I’ve used a lot!

Product definitely needs so more work. The smell is awful and it stays tacky. It also pulls away from the edges of your products , which I do badge buddies and badge reels so this is a no no. It ruined so many of my orders I had to redo them

I loved the old formula but it wasn't available. I covered 200 rocks and put them in the sun to dry. The top side was still sticky. With the old formula, both sides would be hard after about a short time depending on the sunshine. The sun was bright and hot today. I turned them over and an hour later, both sides are sticky. I will be looking for another brand
