Original Corncob Pipe - Apple Bent - Tobacco Pipe incl. Pipe Bag, Sailor

I am very happy with this Missouri meerschaum pipe.

I wanted to purchase a Missouri Corncob Pipe for a gift, since their products are being praised as very beginner friendly and generally being great pipes of high quality. The Apple shape naturally grabbed my eye so I went with this one. BUT I am somewhat disappointed with the actual pipe: its inside is very rough. While the pipe I received is definitely Missouri Meerschaum, it looked like that it was originally from their Missouri Meerschaum Grab Bag of 10 Smokable Second Pipes. Since the company wants to sell only their very best, and sometimes they get stuck with pipes of less quality, they make the bag, and sell 10 of their not-so-great-looking, but still usable for the price of 1-2 regular pipes. The Apple pipe I got in the package looked good at first, but when I checked the tobacco compartment I can actually see the splinters that come off from the inner part! (see the attached photos - they are a lot worse irl) This is not the usual quality of Missouri Meerschaum, I have even seen pipes that come from a bag of seconds that looked better than that. Of course none of this was ever mentioned in the description though, I should have been buying a brand new high quality pipe, and the price seemed right, if a little over what the original company sells them in the States. Probably a scam, and since I bought it for a gift that means I am stuck with an OK pipe, that I'd probably won't be giving as a present to anyone. Definitely be cautious when buying from this seller.

There is nothing to add. It is very good corn cob. If 6 mm filter will not fit innitially, just work a little with sand paper and it will fit into the stem. Worth buying.

Bisher zweimal genutzt, besserer Zug als bei der vorherigen Standardpfeife. Filter passen auch, wenn auch etwas mühsam.

Großer Unterschied zu den "billig Pfeifen" die quasi in jedem Tabakladen zu erhalten sind. Die Verarbeitung ist besser da der Boden verstärkt ist und die Pfeife nicht so leicht durchbrennt. So richtig gut schmeckt sie aber trotzdem erst nach dem dritten vierten mal rauchen!
