Works Hard, Stays Cool (Mostly): A Sturdy Performer for Big Transfers
We gave this UGREEN hub a serious workout, using it to transfer over 100GB of data from an older HP laptop to our new system via a 2TB USB-C flash drive. Performance was consistently stable, fast, and surprisingly smooth — with no disconnects or hiccups, even during extended high-load use.✅ What stood out:Solid aluminum housing: Feels premium, not plastic-y. Also serves a purpose — it helps dissipate heat, which is important because this thing does warm up under stress.Braided USB-C cable + metal plug housing: These are the kind of build details we appreciate. The thick cable resists wear and tangles, while the metal connector adds confidence when plugging in and out.10Gbps USB-C ports: They delivered as advertised. Speeds were snappy, even with large files.Extra rear USB-C (power input): Smart inclusion for those planning to hook up external hard drives or other bus-powered gear. We didn't need it, but it’s a nice safeguard if you're running more power-hungry setups.Ethernet port: Haven’t tested it yet, but always glad to have it onboard for wired reliability.⚠️ Heads-up:The unit got warm — borderline hot — during large transfers. This seems normal for aluminum-bodied, high-speed hubs without active cooling, but it’s worth noting if you plan to leave it in use all day.Bottom line: It’s compact, versatile, and well-built. UGREEN continues to deliver dependable gear at reasonable prices — this is a solid tool for data transfers, productivity, or travel kits.

Simple and effective
Plig n play. Even increase speed of my external hdd by 30% over pluging into usb a on laptop. Ethernet works well and my crucial ssd running at over 1000 mbs. Money well spent

Functions well but gets hot
Gets a little too hot to touch sometimes. All other functions are fine.

5 stars
Only used once thus far but it worked w/o issue on a Win 11 laptop (ethernet port connected to a wireless router for wireless router setup). No setup was required with Win 11.

This adapter works great. I used it for Ethernet, printer & external drive. No problems. Very well made.

Compact and well built with good looks to it.
Works great, no issues with this adapter. Well made and it's actually very nice if you do not have it stuck behind the monitor like I do. I have it connected to my thunderbolt hub to have ethernet and extra USB ports behind my desk.

Does not work with my MBP
Purchased a new MBP in October model 15,1 MRW33LL/A I bought hub this to have additional usb type A and ethernet. Well type a works but the two usb c don't ever mount the external usb drive, the external drive connects fine to my Mac ( all three ports). Has anyone with a newer MBP like mine got this thingn to work?I also have bought some type a to usb c adapters Xaosun and Syntech they don't work with my MBP either. Sys Info says the USB Controller is Host Controller Driver: AppleT8122USBXHCI. Umefly type a to usb short cable also did not work.Is this a new Apple Controller?I suspect t Apple made some subtle change and these things don't work.
