Update: I reordered it. Great carry-on!
A $795 w/tax TUMI carry-on came used, scratched, shapeless, and broken. The Built-In TSA combination lock is missing. It can't be opened without the zipper lock button. You can tell by the wear on the wheels, that it’s used not new. And also because it has two large scratches on the front. It’s all dent and creased with no shape across the entire front and sides. A $795 TUMI item comes in a huge box (not the item's box) with no protection or padding. Very disappointed with TUMI; zero quality and zero presentation in their products. UPDATE: I returned the carry-on and reordered it again. Thank you, Tumi store on Amazon, for sending me a completely new product in perfect condition! The carry-on is beautiful, very spacious; it's worth the investment!

High quality with well thought out inside compartments
This is high quality luggage. I went to a department store and looked at options from other lines. I tested how well the zippers performed, the sturdiness of handles, inside compartments, how well the wheels worked and decided that upon the Tumi Voyageur Leger even with the price being substantially higher than the others. Since I travel a great deal, the quality of the luggage should be an indication that it will hold up well over time and pay for itself. It looks and feels like quality. The only thing lacking that was on the one I retired is a side pocket for a bottle of water. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Test wheels before using!
I thought I was ordering the best luggage available... Ordered this instead of lower-costing TravelPro with spinner wheels, and was extremely disappointed once at the airport with it for the first time. It wouldn't go where I wanted it to -- for some reason, the wheels did their own thing and refused to go in the direction I wanted them to go! Huge disappointment and for a premium price! I also did not like the design of the zippers. They just made it more difficult to zip up the suitcase. However, returning it was easy. Too bad I didn't hang onto the original box. Ended up paying over $32 just to buy a box and to have the suitcase prepped for shipping. (Return Shipping was free) I have since replaced it with a (cheaper) Briggs & Riley and am happy with my new purchase so far. Haven't airport-tested it yet though....
