Q: Are the eggs easy to peel once cooked?

I have never had luck peeling hard boil eggs til this. I put ice cubes and water in a bowl. I let the eggs sit in the steamer for an extra minute or two after timer. Transfer to ice bath. Let ice melt. Tap on end with hole (air pocket forms on that end). Peel under running water. REALLY easy!!

Q: can i do only 2 or 4 eggs and does it have a water amount mark for less eggs?

The amount of water used is not related to the number of eggs being cooked, it is for the type of cooked egg you desire. This cooks the eggs until the water is gone. So the water determines the amount of time they cook. The water cup on mine has three markings. Soft, Medium and Hard. Soft boiled eggs being the smallest amount of water and the shortest cooking time. Hard boiled is the largest amount of water and the longest cooking time. One hard cooked egg takes just as long to cook as 6 eggs. the amount of water determines the cooking time.

Q: are the plastic parts that come into contact with the eggs BPA free?

For those who point out that you don't eat the shell, this cooker also does shell-less eggs (poached, etc) so that's not a valid response. What is valid, though is that BPA-free is misleading--what chemical did they substitute for the BPA? It's commonly BPS, which is a close chemical analog. Search for the Scientific American article "BPA-Free Plastic Containers May Be Just as Hazardous."
