Good for 40 minutes
I live in an aired desert environment in southern Arizona. I got this for my 50 minute commute home on a motorcycle for that purpose it works great. It does great at cooling up until about 40 minutes and then its barely cool. It seems to work great even in temperatures as high as 105°F. But after about 40 minutes, it doesn’t provide much cooling. You’re still slightly cool but definitely far below what you were. It’s not breathable at all so after the 40min of ice you just have an extra layer on and no airflow. It’s very comfortable to wear and made well. I will continue to use it. It works well by keeping my core body temperature low during my commute.

It works and it’s cost effective for the win
Bought this for my exhusband because he works in the heat all summer. He loves it and says it works better than the other stuff he’s tried. It can get a little messy when it’s cooling down but the reward is worth the risk according to him. It’s easy and cost effective.

If you want something like this that actually works its going to cost alot more.
its cold for maybe 30 mins on a warm day. It has a bunch of shammy cloth stitched into to square so i guess its supposed to hold more water but what it really does is never dry out. Also not a lot of surface contact since the squares budge out once the soak up water

lifesaver
it’s been dangerously hot in my region and air conditioning is not common. i have this ready to go when i am starting to overheat (including vasomotor symptoms for the ladies) it really helps to feel better, and used with a fan is even more effective. it’s temporary relief as it will warm up over time

One of the velcro pieces broke off (not even sewn into the strap seams) after (maybe?) 3 uses. Otherwise, it would have been great, but time is ticking for the remaining straps to just "disintegrate."
