After visiting my hairdresser and her using a boar bristle hair brush I knew I needed one. The wood handle feels premium and gives a natural aesthetic. While the bristles help smooth, reduce frizz, and soften even the craziest of curly hair when blow drying. The tail comb accessory is and added bonus because you can use it for cleaning out the brush or detangling your own hair or teasing your hair.

This brush was great for smoothing out my hair on no wash days. It's not scratchy or hard. I have fine hair, and this helps relieve dullness and smooth frizz. The brush and comb are durable and good quality.

This brush has good quality bristles and it is good that the nylon tips have rounded tips on top. There are plenty of boar bristles so brushing makes the hair smooth and stay in place nicely. I compared before buying with an expensive brush with nylon/boar bristles and this one seems to have more boar bristles and it works well. I use another brush and comb for wet hair and this one when my hair is dry. Be sure to not soak the wooden brush to clean it. I use a shampoo lather with my fingers, then rinse quickly with warm water, then lay bristles down to air dry.

From the weight and feel of the Beachwood handle, to how it feels on my scalp. I have an autoimmune disorder that covers over half my body with a rash and it always starts on my scalp when it flares up. The boar's hair is gentle and doesn't hurt like the other brushes I have tried. I enjoy brushing my hair again. No, the comb isn't wood but the ad actually says that it's plastic, which doesn't bother me. But I do like the thickness of this comb more than the half-dozen of these plastic pointed combs I just threw away. Every other comb is so thin, it is like they're trying to see how little plastic it takes to make one to increase the profit margin. I definitely would recommend this set to anyone looking for a really nice brush set that is gentle and good quality.

Looses bristles. I have fine hair, maybe better for stronger hair. I need a softer natural brush

After months of using this, I think it is great! I have long curly type hair and it is perfect for length retention journey. It’s great for small tangles and the quality is durable. Easy to use and has not had a scratch or defect.
