Got this for my son and it's super cool!

Kinda short and cheap looking. Best for kid rooms

Not very bright. Fell below my expectations. It’s more of a party lamp than a functional illumination device.

Ordered these to place behind my plant to create an ambiance. They are cheap hard to build and stick out like a sore thumb. The color of the lighting did not give off the warmth I was looking for rather the opposite it was more of a sterile white. I returned them.

I'm a bit more critical of LEDs than most people. At the time of writing this review the bar is $60. The IC LED strip is fine quality wise, but a few things about the product stand out to me. 1) The light bar comes in 3 sections that interlock together. The problem is getting the light bar to be a straight line can be finicky. It is easy to make it generally straight, but if you set it next to something that is actually straight you will likely notice some variance. Even if you get it to be a straight line, if it is bumped then it will no longer be straight. 2) At a $60 price point, these lights should not be using proprietary app with bluetooth connectivity. You can find comparable products at the same price point that use wifi and integrate with other services. You can use a different controller with the light, but part of the $60 you paid is for that mediocre bluetooth controller. 3) While these are depicted as a good ambient light source for your tv in the pictures.. They would not make a good ambient light source around your TV with the controller it comes with. They don't integrate with anything so setting them up next to your TV as depicted would just make your TV hard to see. Sure you can set them to music or voice mode, but then you just get random colors on your TV. Overall I expected more from a $60 light bar. This light might be a better value and worth considering at a much lower price or with a better controller included.

Great lamp with tons of color and animation settings. Comes out of the box in many pieces but was easy to assemble. I had the whole thing put together in under 20 minutes. no tools needed

LED applications are everywhere making some products hard to choose from. I wasn't sure about how well it would work from the pictures, but I figured since it was a little more expensive than other similar products it must be better, and I was right. It assembles easily in a few minutes, and the choices of color patterns seems to be endless. The function of following the beat of the music tracks perfectly. On;y problem is now I want more of them for around the house -- a good problem to have!

Let's be clear, this is an arts and crafts project, and one with pretty poor instructions at that. Sadly, for the price, they could have done a lot better than this. By looking at all the parts, you'll figure it out, but the instructions are of very little help. The worst part of all, once you do figure it out, you realize how simple it would be for you to make one of these for yourself for far less money. But once you do finally figure it out, it looks good and works well. It uses the Magic Lantern app, but beware, I have purchased a previous set of pond lamps that used this app and apparently, they stopped paying for their license and one year later, the app stopped working on my pond lights. So, it may not work forwever for this as well. You never know. Having said that, once it's up and working, you have a clicker and the app. The app has far more options for ways for the lights to operate. They also can operate against music playing, but I have not tried that yet. Overall I like it once I got it up and running, but it was such a pain to get it up and running, I am docking it a star. That is, it worked beyond expectations. 4 Stars means it did what it said it would do and I found no problems that kept me from liking the product or annoying me to the point of wanting me to do something about it. 3 Stars means that it worked, but it had a problem significantly annoying enough that I decided that it interfered with my enjoyment of the product. 2 Stars is that the product may have barely worked, but there were enough problems that made me desire to either return it or to use it grudgingly because it was pain in the toucus. 1 Star - it simply fails in all respects, and I'll tell you why.
