Does this fit a standard 4inch 100 mm vent

I tried to fit this fan into a 100mm (internal diameter) PVC duct but found it difficult to fit unless it was forced in, which I didn’t think was a good idea. This was due to a protrusion on the side of the fan which appears to be a channel for the internal wiring. In the end I had to cut away a piece of the plastic ducting to accommodate the fan. If using flexible ducting this wouldn’t be a problem.
