I love this radio. It sounds great. The internal battery holds a charge all day and then some! The FM tuner is kind of touchy but still locks in on stations very well, great reception too. Bluetooth works well and pairs automatically once you set it up the first time, works great for phone calls too! The wood grain looks cool in my rustic camper van as well. The only con is, I was hoping that the usb port on top would actually work to charge my phone, like a portable power bank, but it doesn't seem to work that way. Still a very nice retro styled radio at a good price.

We had a radio that was poor quality and crackled, Audiocrazy Portable AM FM Shortwave has saved us from that! We're not looking for perfection but this is a wonderful improvement.

If you are looking for a Bluetooth speaker, you have a lot of options. Here is one that gives you the look and functionality of a traditional portable radio and works quite well in everything it does. I went full-retro on mine and paid the extra dollar for the woodgrain cabinet, which does look cool. Power comes either from a 120-volt outlet (power cord included), an internal rechargeable battery (also included) or two D-size batteries (not included). When I took mine out of the box the rechargeable battery in it was already charged, so I just turned it on and started listening. My initial impression was favorable. It sounds pretty good, seems well-made, and everything works as it should. Since there are several functions, I'll give each one a separate rating so you can assess how well this unit would meet your specific needs. Radio: 4 stars. Reception is overall very good to excellent, but on AM seems more sensitive at the low end of the band than the high end. FM quite sensitive and selective top to bottom. Shortwave I compared to my Sangean ATS-909X2 (admittedly not fair at all, as the Sangean costs ten times as much) but this little Audiocrazy held its own. There were very few signals that were listenable on the Sangean that weren't also listenable on the Audiocrazy. Shortwave coverage is continuous from 2.2 to 22 megahertz, which is nice to find and rare in a radio that's not digitally-tuned. (Most have shortwave bands that are roughly arranged around the most commonly-used meter bands, leaving a lot of stuff out between them.) Relating to all bands, this is obviously a DSP-chip (Digital Signal Processing) radio, so you need to tune slowly to hear all of the weak stations. If you move the tuning knob too quickly you'll only hear the strongest stations. Bluetooth: 5 stars. Paired quickly with my phone and worked just as any other Bluetooth speaker would. See sound quality notes below. SD card player: 4 stars. You can play audio tracks off of a USB drive or an SD card. (If you're using a now-more common micro SD, you just need to put it in a full-size SD adapter, which is included with many micro-SD cards you buy.) Player works well but you can only forward it to the next track or back it up to the previous one, so if you have designs on putting your 5,000-song musical library on one card, you are going to have a very hard time getting to whatever specific track you want. You have to view this essentially as a sequential player where you just listen to whatever is on there in the order it comes up. (Tracks are played in the order in which you copied them onto your storage card/drive, and after it plays the last track it goes back to the first track and starts through them again, so you could just leave it on if you wanted to have continuous play, for instance, for all-day background music at home or at work.) Sound quality: 3.5 stars. Decent sound given the features you're getting here for the money, but it does not rival some of the premium Bluetooth speakers that in many instances cost more than three times as much as this unit does. No tone control, but if you're on Bluetooth your paired device might have its own audio controls. Audio is full-range and crisp, but you don't get punchy bass. It's pretty much on par with what you anticipate getting in a unit this size, design, and price. Gets pretty loud, so no trouble hearing it outside or over background noise. Voice is very clear, so this would be very good for listening to talk radio or audio books. Internal rechargeable battery is charged simply by plugging in the provided power cord. I've charged mine twice after playing it more than ten hours between each charge, but it has never run all the way down. So, it seems you can run quite a long time on a charge. The D-batteries would probably last even much longer than the rechargeable, so it's nice to have that option if you're going to be using the unit for a long time away from a charging source, such as camping. If you want a Bluetooth speaker that's also a very good multi-band radio and an SD/USB audio player, you cannot go wrong here. Beats carrying a separate radio, audio player, and Bluetooth speaker, and it's guaranteed to start conversations when people ask how you're streaming music from your phone through a radio that looks like it's 50 years old.

Smaller than I thought. Since all the pics were Photoshopped it's about the size of a half gallon carton of milk. If you're expecting a "bookshelf" radio that looks good with a shelf of novels next to it, it's not that big. It's small enough to be a nightstand radio; books could knock it over. The sound quality is about the same as any FM Radio single speaker unit. Not great and not garbage. You're not getting Extra Bass or an EQ, but it's sufficiently loud to be in a Garage with the occasional engine or power tool overpowering it. So it's good. Was able to test BT and FM. FM reception is seriously decreased when it is unplugged, even using the antenna, it seems the house power wires aid in reception. So if it's going to be a beach or outdoor companion keep that in mind. Bluetooth, the audio sounds weirdly mixed, but I can't fault the unit as any stereo to mono conversion is going to make a song sound off. (How do you play a stereo track with one speaker? Let's be fair.) If anything would make me take a star off: the "noise floor" of the device is audible even when plugged in. Yes, there's an interior rechargable battery. Which means not only is it still technically on, the hum has me concerned it's got the same power drain when it is OFF as it does when ON (once charged, prob. a good idea to unplug the little guy if it's not in use.) If it's a true garage radio, you may not care much about the internal battery at all. And nothing that a power strip with an accessible off switch can't solve. I've had this for a day. If any of this changes, I'll revise.

Se oye muy bien , trae una pila recargable que me ha durado aproximadamente 10 hrs. Y la recepción es muy en fm, en sw no he logrado sintonizar todavía.

Dry good reception on this radio in a poor reception area. Nice little speaker. Fast and easy Bluetooth pairing. Good USB playback, my recording was from an old cassette so I can only imagine a really good pm3 playback. It is only one speaker and not overly base loaded which I personally like for radio clarity. Wonderful for emergency situations and house use. Works as plug in or rechargeable in regular use. In emergency situations it can take D size batteries. Perfect radio. It does not have a flashlight but zi have plenty of dedicated flashlights. A continually functioning radio I do not. Have you ever tried to wind a radio up. It takes forever. I have one of those too.

Danke Chinesen War ein mal... Objektiv doch mit 127 V in Europa ist eine absolute Frechheit etwas anzubieten, wo finden wir 127 Volt bei uns, nicht war...
