Cen-Tec Systems Premium Shop Vacuum Extension Hose, 50 Feet

This is a good quality item. A definite upgrade from the supplied Shop Vac hose. It is much less likely to get twisted or kinked, which was a real problem with the original hose. The added length is great for being able to reach everywhere in my garage. Suction is as good if not better than before. It's not great to have to pay an additional $50 for a hose upgrade, but in this case it was a worthwhile purchase.

Purchased the Cen-Tec Systems Premium Shop Vacuum Extension Hose, 20 Feet for my wall hanging shop vac in the garage. The hose is a few feet longer, seems more flexible because of a "softer" vinyl material which may be nicer when pulling into vehicles. The ends are more durable especially at the connection point to the hose, which has a swivel connection point vs a rigid attachment point. Only used a few times so unsure on the durability but I can't believe it will fail under normal use.

I have been on a mission to make the garage / shop space more usable. One of my pain points was dragging around the shop-vac when vacuuming either in the garage or the car, since the original hose was only around 6 feet long. Centec offers a few different sizes, but I opted for the 30'. This way, I can leave it where it sits in the garage and get to anywhere in the garage without having to move it. If I am going to work on the car, I can easily leave it near the garage door, plugged into power, and then just walk the hose around to get to everything. I was thinking originally of getting the 50', but thought it may experience too much suction drop. I haven't measured the suction loss between the original 2.5" hose vs this 30' 1.25", but it still seems to work and vacuum fine, so I'm not worried about it. The hose itself seems pretty flexible, but durable. Right now, I just store it by draping it over something in the garage, but may plan in the future to get a 'hose reel' to manage it better. If you're looking for a nice 'quality of life' improvement, a longer shop-vac hose is definitely on the list. and this Cen-Tec fits the bill just fine.

It fits my "Shop Vac" (a Ridgid shop-vac-like vacuum) that uses 2.5" hoses. The connector included that connects to the vacuum is tapered so that it'll fit anything that uses hoses sized between 2.125 & 2.5 inches. What you get in the box is the gray plastic hose and two black plastic ends that you screw onto the hose. They do not lock on or even stay particularly firmly attached from friction. The one end that connects to whatever tool you're using twists completely around so that what every orientation you need for your tool can readily be accommodated. The hose itself is surprisingly durable. Better than the hoses that normally come with a shop-vac-like vacuum by A LOT. Despite it's description, the hose isn't particularly stream-lined, air-flow-wise, and attaching it to the vacuum raises the motors RPM considerably as the motor struggles to pull in air through this 1.25 inch hose (half the diameter) connecting to a vacuum designed for a 2.5" hose. Air-flow is significantly impinged, so don't expect big sucking action from your monster 6hp super-sucker. The hose is fairly crush-proof and quite flexible. It's slick surface helps the hose to slide along surfaces, but the DEEP spiral crevice that runs the length of hose tends to try and snag on things, so it's basically a wash, sliding-wise. The length, combined with the great flexibility, are a welcome modification to the normal routine encountered while vacuuming with shop-vac-like vacuums. The hose is super-slinky and slinks right along, when it's not getting snagged on something Like I said, earlier: it isn't snag-prone, nor is it snag-proof. It just snags sometimes. With these few gripes aside, overall I'm happy with the product. It is doing what I need doing and saving me all kinds of frustration.

Love the hose. Huge improvement over the standard stiff hose. Flexible and easy to hang up when not using it.

Worked great for cleaning our heater ducts! We ran a long string from one end of the heating system to the other (using a small RC car), attached the string to the hose, turned on the shop vac and pulled the hose through the ducts. Then we pulled the hose (with string) back and did it again... and again... and again. The hose was flexible enough to go through the floor register yet strong enough to last through the process unscathed. We got so much stuff out of the ducts - I was amazed. So glad we decided to buy this - we spent much less than we would have on a duct cleaning service and now we have this handy item so we can do it annually. YAY! Will also be useful in vacuuming out the cars! :-)

Fits great and high quality just like the original one but longer hose and great suction from a smaller diameter hose for the extra length It also fits any of my other vacuums that measure 2 1/4 inch for the hose inlet

Very happy. I was conserved it wouldn't fit my cheaper home line shopvac but it does fit just fine. Works great and the quality of the material is better than what I initially had with the shopvac
