It’s a good machine for certain foods. I think the rotisserie chicken and kabobs will do great. We used it for al pastor, however the inside stays moist while only the sides get that slightly toasted meat you look for in all pastor. We ended up sautéing the inside portion of the al pastor on the griddle to finish cooking it !! It would be hard to design a small personal machine for al pastor where you can shave off the outer portion and let the next layer keep cooking :)

Firstly, I really do like this rotisserie. I’ve made tacos al pastor, shawarma, rotisserie chicken and shish kabobs. Loved every meal.I held back a star. When putting the spit into the base to load or to even cut (think how gyro meat is cut from doner) you can’t set the catch basin down because of the design. Without having the spit in the catch basin you can not properly load or unload from the unit.I’m probably not explaining this right. The concept of this rotisserie is spot on. It’s just the design is a little off.That being said, I still love this and will continue to use it. I’m able to adapt but the budding cook looking forward to show off to friends will need a lot of practice.

This works great, we've used it at least once a week for a few months now and no problems. You do have to make sure to truss the chicken well to make sure it Cooks enenly. Could use more settings but we like it

it tips forward when emptied, has a weight distribution problem, doors are tricky, i.e., they close by themselves if not absolutely locked open, and besides being a kitchen hazard, is not dependable in terms of being shy of parts\. In general, it is a poor choice for a kitchen appliance.Other: The Amazon site continues to insist that all UPS counters will accept the QR number and print out a return label... THIS IS NOT TRUE. WHEN DIRECTING THE BUYER TO PRINT OUT A LABEL, AN OFFER SHOULD BE MADE TO ALTERNATIVELY SEND THE LABEL IN FULL SIZE TO THE BUYER'S COMPUTER. I have to travel 204 miles round trip to obtain a printout. That is NOT acceptable~! Why in the world can't Amazon wake up to this reality, and notate our personal accounts with this information... I get a major hassle every time I have to return an item. Major! I am a good customer, but you are trying my patience. Bought it for shawarmas. Workes great. Cooked faster than I thought it would. Easy to set up.

Wife killed the last rotisserie, used it a lot over 10 years. This one cooks more evenly than the last one we had. Ours had a dent and i had to re-align the sliding door, it was done easily since the metal is not as thick as I was expecting. The thin wall helps make the unit lighter. The door is see through, it does not remove easily for cleaning, Think I will need to take the top off to wash it thoroughly every now and again. It needs a basket to hold a whole chicken. i have been using thin stainless safety wire, to hold the legs or wings from hitting the heating elements and door. it works well for thighs and drumsticks or chopped meats. Since my family prefers fresh vegetables we just use this unit to cook meat. It does not rotate individual skewers so we rotate the meat near the halfway done point to cook both sides. There is no temperature controller for the heater to maintain a desired temperature e.g. 350 degrees. but the high/low seem to work well.

This is an awesome piece of kitchen equipment. I’ve made a few meat dishes and they all,came out really good. I highly recommend this rotisserie.

I am certain this is a great price of equipment, but I never tried it. Once it arrived I realized this rotisserie cooker is WAY too large for an average-sized lichen. It looksvery well-made, but unless you have a super-huge kicchen, you may want to pass on this cooker.
