Don't let the weather keep you from enjoying a ride. This boot is waterproof, warm, lightweight and flexible. The natural rubber upper is reinforced for added durability, while the toe bumper adds extra protection. The contoured footbed is comfortable and the outsole is rugged and durable. The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. The need for a more comfortable boot for use in messy and tough conditions led to the design of The Original Muck Boot Company brand footwear. Every boot in the line is expected to deliver the same 100% waterproof quality and comfort that inspired the original footwear. In just a few years, the line has grown to more than 20 styles, all designed to tackle tough conditions in agriculture, lawn and garden, outdoor sporting, equine, and pet care. Today, the Muck Boot brand defines a standard of comfort and quality that goes beyond the expectations of customers around the country.

The only men's winter riding boots.
I need size 13 winter riding boots. These are the only ones I could find. These are very similar to regular muck boots. They are completely waterproof and have some insulation. Oddly, the rubber part of the boot is shorter than the regular muck boot. I suppose this is to make the ankle more flexible??? They should make it like regular muck boots.I would say these are muck boots you can ride in in a pinch. They are not purpose designed winter riding boots, like the mountain horse ones they no longer make in my size.

BEST BOOTS EVER! After years of searching!
Can't say enough about these boots, and I researched for literally years to find the best combo riding and winter/mud boots. I live in Colorado, and my horses live on my property, so I have to feed / water / chores myself and in all weather. I'm always cold, and a huge baby about being cold, wet, etc. These are used 2x daily, bought about 4 months ago. These are great. They are indestructible, hold my pants inside very snugly, super comfortable, keep my feet perfectly warm. I don't even wear socks sometimes when I use these boots in subzero weather (which I still can't believe, but yes, feet are kept warm!) No ice slipping issues. I can walk through tall drifts of snow and deep mucky mud without an issue. They are so solid. The height is great when cleaning out the water trough. I'm 5'4" and they are perfect. I bought these in size 7, normally wear a 6.5 or 7. These are very roomy. I could have gotten probably half size smaller but for winter use I'm happy to have extra room in case I ever wanted thicker socks. Again, not needed :) since my feet are completely warm even without socks! With this and my goosedown NorthFace parka, I'm finally perfectly outfitted for these Colorado winters. I can't imagine having to buy a replacement pair for years, but I will absolutely buy these again.*****Update November 2013: I've had these boots for a year now. They're amazing and were used year round. I wore them often during the summer too, especially when it was rainy / muddy or whenever I wanted my feet more protected to stay clean (like when cleaning out the water trough). They have not degraded in any way, they are obviously very well made and hold up in all the mud and every other substance found around horses, haha! Still wear them without socks and they're just as comfortable and warm. I still love them as much as ever, and I would not trade them for any other boot!*****Update July 2015: Still going strong! There is zero damage or wear to these boots after all of these years of use and stepping on sharp things, walking in dirty stalls and thick mud. Super rainy spring this year for almost two months, and these boots are indespensible. The thick mud got dangerous even for the horses. I was so glad to have my boots since it is imperative that I get around easily when taking care of them even in the worst of weather. Feet warm, dry, safe. Once stepped in deep mud halfway up my calf, almost got me stuck, but no problem for these boots. They are the best; I will never buy another type of boot! (I cannot imagine when I will even have to buy a new pair because these are literally as solid as the day I bought them. And their care is so easy. Actually I never wash them, I just take them off and toss them in the tack room, they are very low maintenance.) Totally excellent buy.

Serve their purpose well and look nice
I wanted a comfortable pair of boots that weren't too clunky but would stay dry and would be fine to ride in if I didn't feel like changing into my riding boots. That being said, here are my opinions on the boots now that I have had then for several weeks (though I have not yet ridden in them):1) They are comfortable. Very comfortable. I don't mind driving in them, and walking in them is just fine once you get used to the size of the shoe part. It feels like walking on crocs sort of, in terms of the rubbery cushioning. The tall part is soft and stretchy.2) They feel slightly too big in the foot. That being said, I imagine wearing heavy winter socks will be just fine in them. I did try a size smaller (one size smaller than I regularly wear in most shoes) and they felt better but my toes went numb so I went back to the 7.3) They do look a bit clunky. I wanted sleeker looking boots but considering the options in the market, I am being a bit unrealistic. These look heavier than they are and make your foot look big but the prettiness of the boot otherwise makes up for it.4) They are great temperature-wise in spring so far. I can't imagine they'll be too hot in summer. They may be a bit too thin in the calf for winter but as they run big, thick winter socks should make them better.5) They look nice (once you get past the clunky part). They are all black, have the logo on the side, have a nice shape in the calf. They clean easily so haven't gotten grungy looking yet.6) They stay dry and are VERY easy to clean. I have purposely walked through some puddles to test them out. Feet stayed dry. A spray with the house washes the mud right away.7) They are a great height. I am very short and often boots are too tall on me. These do come up a bit past my knee joint but don't pinch. I think they would look great still on someone taller than me.Overall, I am very happy with these boots. I wish they were less clunky but they serve their purpose well and still look nice. I would and do recommend them to friends. I will try to update once I've ridden in them.

Muck Boots Colt Brit
I ordered these for myself. Amazon had the best price I found. They were delivered in just a few days.I have large muscled calves, these fit great. Not to tight but just tight enough around calves to hold up right at the knee with out putting my feet to sleep. I can even tuck in jeans in these.Great looking boots. Not much of any arch support, if any, but seem to run big enough for inserts.Very comfey boots. I have not ridden in them yet. They seem like they will do the job Western or English. These boots are going to be great for my "hard on boots Ranch life". I can hose them off when I step into the cow s###! I have even thrown my old Mucks in the front loader after hosing them off. They washed up wonderful. I have not got these that dirty yet.Key word Yet.I like the tread on these. The tread is not the big lug that tracks mud into my tackroom or mudroom in my house. So far I really am thrilled with them for barn and winter wear. My feet wont get cold like in most tall boots or in my awful Bogs. Way to go Muck! The Original MuckBoots Brit Colt Equestrian Boot November 23,2011 Still LOVE these boots. They are holding up wonderful and are super in the mud and snow. I think they could get a little slick in slick snow but I have not slipped once. I am thrilled with these boots and will buy another pair.
