More powerful than LHR Mark III
Tried the "air test" and the pad flew off across the room from the insane vibration. Had to send it back for a replacement. I'll update this review when I get the new one. If nothing changes, epic fail on Rupes' part. Edit: new unit works as expected, nice and smooth and extremely powerful.

Great product. No regrets.
Just great. No regrets.

Do Not Buy
Not worth the money. I bought for quality but it hardly stays running even with a new battery. Pulsates constantly and no customer support. If it worked, it would be fantastic. Unfortunate. Update: sent out to get fixed, came back with a different issue and massive vibration now.

READ BEFORE BUYING
Will leave pros and cons at the bottom for your sake. I love rules corded machines and even there micro and nano polisher but they really dropped the ball with these ones. Personally I haven’t had any problems with triggers acting up unless the machine just dies and I’m putting in a new battery. Motors runs good and smooth till your at the higher speed, then it start to vibrate pretty bad which really sucks for cutting in a faster paced shop. The biggest and only real deal breaker issue is the backing plate, there are no breather holes in it like a traditional backing place with causes more heat to build up which in turn means the Velcro doesn’t stick. No matter what brand of pad you use after about 15 to 20 minutes of polished if you hit a body line or lift the machine up an inch the bad will fly off or move off center (almost messed up a few customer cars because of this). If you can always have a new pad and or get used to the pressure and angles to help with the pad flying off it works great for cutting and polishing but if you don’t want to deal with that I would shop around. Pros: -Machine is powerful -battery lasts long enough to never wait for a charge -feels very nice and ergonomic Cons: -packing plate is terrible and Velcro doesn’t stick -Warranty work can take a little while -Not efficient enough for fast paced work environments

Works but needs knowledge to use
I wish I could use it more. Perfect and smooth work. It requires knowing how to control. If not there’s a mess everywhere.

Don’t buy unless you read
Im a professional detailer I have been using this machine every other day for 11 months now. I can safely say either buy the Milwaukee machine or wait for a revised version of the HLR 15 1. The Velcro on the backing plate is not strong enough to securely hold any pads, the moment you tilt or the pad is not 100% flat on a surface it will start to wobble and fly off at any speed 2. My first units motor started give off a burning smell after 2 months of ownership but I managed to get a warranty replacement after having to contacting an executive directly after a month of no responses from the repair department 3. The battery placement is a bad and gets in the way/ rubs when working on even the slightest curved door panel (it doesn’t scratch because of the rubber protection but it simply shouldn’t be a possibility) 4. Vibrates too much at speed 4 and up even when using Rupes specific pads. I feel like im going to get carpal tunnel from only 2 hours of cutting -Positives- 1. Very smooth on speed 3 and lower and great for finishing all types of paint 2. Very light, compact and comfortable to hold 3. Satisfying sound That’s it, I am a big fan of Rupes’s machines and pads, but they came in very late to the battery powered market and released a pretty mediocre machine after waiting almost a year for them to release this machine in the US, thinking it would be perfect and blow everything else out the water.

Not reliable at all, no support
I’ve used it on 6 cars and it stopped working above 2,000 RPM. Out of warranty by 3 months and Rupes won’t do anything. Wish I would have used it more so it failed within the warranty period. Now emits an electrical burning smell. Wow what a piece of garbage for $700 plus.
