well built, good size
I got this because I seemed to have a stock of C batteries for some reason, and don't remember where they came from. I have nothing else that takes Cs, so I looked for a light that does. I would have liked a version with a click switch, but they were $10 more, and I just wanted a spare light to take the dog out with. It's typical maglight quality, which is excellent. It'll last a lifetime. Solid and durable, the light adjusts with a very short twist of the head. The hi-low option seems to work, though honestly the low isn't a whole lot less bright than the hi, at least to me.It's a good size between the typical 2 AA or 3/4 AAA and the D size. It's big enough to throw a substantial beam, and big enough to know you're holding a good sized light, yet small enough to fit in a back pocket or any kind of cargo pocket.

Solid, focuses well.
Feels solid, works well. With sizable precision mirrored reflector and small-sized but bright LED inside, it can focus into remarkably tight center beam core - so well that I sometines I use it (instead of a greem laser pointer if I forget to bring one) to point to stars etc. at night at an astromomy club star party. Of course it does not focus into a point like a laser, but still well enough to be useful in a pinch.

great flashlight
Since this flashlight uses only two c-cells, it is relatively small, relatively light weight and it delivers an amazing beam of light. I received one of these flashlights as a gift. I bought this one for a friend.

Reliable flashlight that won't overheat
These lights have 2 features I really like. First, they're reliable and durable. I don't think I've ever had a maglight simply "fail". They work until destroyed by physical damage (using them to drive in tent stakes is not recommended but will work in a pinch) and that's very important to me. The second thing I really like is that they don't overheat during use. The hefty construction makes them reliable and ensures that they don't overheat when in use. Some of the newer ultra-bright lights will overheat within minutes and if left turned on while in a carry case or bag, could melt things. These lights are bright enough but won't overheat even if accidentally left turned on in a bag. I use these at home and work and can't be happier with them.

great light powerful
Very sturdy, bright and durable. Use on early morning walks and through plenty of light and distance. I like that it is C batteries which last a long time and are not heavy.

Simple and effective.
I got this for work. I work in security at night on a property with no working outside lighting. It is pitch black at night. This is a very simple but effective flashlight. It's a twist on twist off light and of course you twist to focus. It came with the led already installed. Just take it out of the box and put batteries in. I wanted the 2C because it fits perfectly in cargo pants pocket and doesn't weigh a lot. It's very bright when focused to a tight beam and covers the length of the property with ease. I recommend this if you need something simple for not a lot of money and don't trust the chinesium lights.

THIS IS A HIGH QUALITY LED FLASHLIGHT BUT DELIVERY WAS SLOW
Maglite has always made a great flashlight and this one is of high quality. My only disappointment is in the delivery...it took over 2 weeks (16 days) to receive this order from Amazon. I have been a loyal Amazon customer but lately the deliveries seem too far out there!
