Great Company to buy from!
I cannot day enough about how great this company’s customer service has been so far. There was a small problem with the bench I received and they are shipping a replacement part! No need for me to take it apart and ship anything back, which is a major plus in my book! As for the bench, is is beautiful and well made, feels very sturdy. It comes with everything you need to put it together except for a Phillips head screw driver. It came out of the box with a very strong wood stain/chemical smell to it. We were setting it up outside and by the time we were done the smell was very faint even right up close. The next day the smell was completely gone. It took my brother and I about 45 minutes to put it together while letting a 1 year old “help us.” So I assume it could go a lot faster if someone was just working at it strait. It was fairly easy to put together, however we used an electric impact wrench rather than the Allen wrench that was included. It wasn’t difficult with the Allen wrench, just much slower. I included pictures of the inner “waterproof” lining. Which I believe to be more of a water resistant. It is also raised off the ground a little so it is not just sitting in water if it rains which is nice. It comes with 2 shocks that hold up the seat of the bench so you are able to use both hands to either put stuff in or take it out, which is helpful. The backrest is slanted slightly so it is not just strait up and down, which I like. It is finished with wood stain, there is no lacquer or paint or shine to the bench. It is nice and smooth all over and there are no rough spots that could cause splinters on my bench, as I did check before letting my 1 year old play on it. The last picture I included is with a cover over the bench. It does NOT come with a cover, however I purchased one separately. I purchased the Classic Accessories Ravenna Patio bench cover in the 50” and it fits quite well. I would definitely recommend this bench to anyone. If you are on the fence or deciding between 2, I would recommend choosing this one because in my opinion you cannot go wrong with a company who has outstanding customer service.

Sturdy and easy to put together.
I have mine inside so I cannot report if it is weatherproof. I will say that the bag is the only part that appears to be weatherproof and has a zipper, so that usually only lasts so long. The bottom of it is mostly open, which it does not explain in the description. I was planning to store winter clothing in it. When it came to our house it was freshly stained. I thought it was lighter in the picture, but it still looks great. The problem is that it smells up our downstairs with the smell currently. It is sturdy and easy to put together.

Very Poor Quality! Does not fit together, horrible assembly
This is actually a great looking piece, if the storage lid was correctly done so it worked, and if the assembly was even remotely possible. The basic assembly of the bench was super easy, then it came to the lid. Impossible to put the hinges in correctly without dissembling the whole thing. The lid does not fit and like at least one other one star review, if you put the hinges in the pre-drilled holes you can only open the lid about 2 inches. The liner is also too small and the Velcro on the bag does not fit to the Velcro on the bench. Obviously NO quality control on this product. Really upset this is the one I chose. UPDATE - it has been 10 months and the bench has disintegrated. It is on the front porch so is not in full sun or rain, even though it does get some of both when it is stormy (but I live in San Diego so that does not happen much) after 10 months the seat became so brittle that it disintegrated when some one sat on it.

Cheap - nice to look at - not useful
Wood warped on seat, another broke when you sat on it. Also missing two screws. The bag it comes with to put the balls in is not water tight. Balls become water logged. Two major defects that hinder its use. Pretty much firewood now.

Poorly written assembly instructions
The bench looks great. But unfortunately we had some difficulty assembling it due to poorly written instructions.

Rock solid! Use wood glue! put on lid FIRST!!!!
It didn't make sense, but I followed directions, then had to take apart upper back and back rest to screw the 9 screws of the hinged lid. So, as long as you screw the hinged lid on FIRST, EASY assembly. Use wood glue for all joints. Do NOT do a final tightening until the entire thing is assembled and squared, THEN do your final tightening. It is quite heavy and this is super solid! Looks good enough to put indoors in an greenhouse/plant filled outdoorsy-type room! The wood preservative smell has taken longer to dissipate-def. wipe it down with wet soapy rag, then just wet rags. Oh, refrigerate your wood glue if assembling it in hot weather-more glue will stay in the joints while curing (less glue will run out). The back flexes quite a bit, but I have it against a wall. UPdate- the lid only lifts up about 40 degrees, limiting width of items it will accommodate-10 1/2" but you could just leave out the hydraulic stays, accepting to hold up (or make a stop) the lid while using. My COBB grill fits in, but I had to take off the lid, then put it on once the main grill was inside.

Great storage.
I like that it was easy to assemble if you don't tighten the back bolts or put the back piece on till you're almost done. But i didn't like that it smells heavy of varnish/ gasoline. It's beautiful but due to odor out list a star because it's strong.

Beautiful, but don't follow the directions
End result is a beautiful, sturdy bench. Inner bag smells bad, but will hopefully air out and dissipate. The instructions are wrong. You'll need to attach only one side to the front and back of the storage box. Then, you'll need to attach the top of the box that has the hinges (you should pre-screw so the holes are more manageable). After the top of the storage box is attached, proceed with adding the back-rest piece and other side. If you try to use the included instructions, you won't be able to screw in the hinges. We lost some time having to take it partially apart and it is a 2-person job. The end result is really nice.
