Great maps!
The large size makes it easy to read at a distance and the spiral binding means you can have it protected in a door or seat pocket and open it to the state you need and leave it open on a seat. Its large enough to hunt down and mark small roads and landmarks during your travels. And of course its up to date with the latest road closures or new ones as its made every year. I like to take my jeep down little known trails and roads in AZ to visit ruins and desert features. This map makes it easy to pinpoint where you are visiting for future reference. It also has detailed major road maps of the major cities in each state. Very easy to find the state and or city|town you want to visit or to plot your path across states you visit. Years ago, State Farm used to give me one of these every year for having insurance. They dont seem to do that any more, but this book of maps is so useful, I'll likely buy a new one every couple of years. Its hard to get lost in the USA when you have these. Much better than relying on GPS devices that often are only updated every few years and you dont need electricity to use these (grin). Well worth the purchase cost!

Easy to use and has lots of information
I like paper maps and this one is great! Updated, larger than some earlier editions and fun to use to plan trips. It also has guides to national parks and areas of interest and a good mileage chart. One of the best things about a book of maps is I can flip back and forth between maps and areas without "losing" any or wondering which screen "that one" is on!

Great Atlas but beware of Shipping Damages
The atlas itself is really great. I have used this brand before and decided to get an updated one after my old one had become a bit worn over the years. Everything is really large and easy to read. It is a perfect companion when traveling. I keep mine in my vehicle, so that I always have access to it wherever I travel. For trips where I am flying somewhere, I stash it in my suitcase. It is a life saver when traveling to new places, especially when in remote areas with no cell service! I would have given this 5 stars, but I had to knock off 1 star due to damages in shipping. It is a very large atlas, and they ship it in a soft envelope. They rolled the envelope up and stuck it in my mailbox to fit it there instead of putting on my front porch. Both the front and back covers were almost completely ripped off of the atlas when it arrived. I returned and re-ordered, and had the same problem. I had to order this atlas 3 times before I finally got one that wasn't torn. So, it's a great atlas but be aware that yours may be damaged in shipping. At least amazon is good about returning and replacing damaged goods!

Awesome and complete
Sometimes you just need a physical paper atlas instead of GPS apps.

Perfect for Long Trips! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We went on a long road trip, and even though our vehicle has onboard navigation, my wife still prefers something she can physically hold and flip through—and this Rand McNally Large Scale Road Atlas 2025 was perfect! The large-scale maps are easy to read, and the details make it a great backup for planning routes, especially in areas with poor GPS signals. The quality is excellent, and the updated roads and highways ensure accurate navigation. ✅ Easy-to-read large-scale maps ✅ Great backup for GPS navigation ✅ Detailed and up-to-date information ✅ Durable and well-made for travel Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys traditional navigation or wants a reliable backup on the road

It is a bit more difficult to use than a ordnance survey map.

We bought this Atlas for an across North America road trip with a travel trailer (Alberta to Louisiana and everything in between). I don't trust technology Maps as they have taken us and many other people on strange routes that have been sometimes dangerous. This Atlas helped me plan out our intended routes before we left. I used it in conjunction with a technological map. This Atlas assisted when the technological map would make a certain recommendation and I wasn't comfortable with it. We followed the Atlas during those times and we're glad we did! I truly appreciated the detail in this Atlas. Be aware that it can't give you every road. It just would be too big as a multi-thousand page Atlas. It gives you the major routes. I actually learned a lot using this book during our navigation. The notes in the Atlas on what the symbols meant were easy to read and learn from. This Atlas gave us confidence with our intended routes. Super easy to read and once you know what the symbols mean and the numbers mean, you can easily calculate the type of road you're going to be on and distances between major centers and small towns. Fantastic book. Large format book that does best when placed on your lap. If you're doing a trip like ours, this is a fantastic book to get!

The bigger scale offers more details and more informations. I'm really enjoying it. For the Atlasholics a superb choice!

This is a very good atlas, possibly slightly too large and heavy for some users, although it is more detailed than others as a result of that size. The maps are arranged alphabetically by state, with the scale determined in large measure by the size of each state (although many are broken down into several maps). The maps were evidently not produced for this particular atlas, so that in places the centre fold of the two-page map spreads will run right through one of the more important places in the state. Names may be randomly broken across the fold, making some places very hard to find. As would be expected, roads are marked clearly: Interstates are in blue, four-lane uncontrolled-access highways are easily distinguished from two-lane highways (although interchanges are shown only if they are on completely controlled-access highways). There are plenty of city insets, down to some fairly small cities (again, depending on the amount of room around the edge of a map and the size of the state). Speaking as a Canadian, the Canadian content is well done but at a much larger scale than the U.S. states so the atlas is not quite as useful for more localized trips in this country as it is in most of the U.S. states. But it is right up to date, e.g. showing the newly completed four-lane section of the Trans-Canada Highway along the Kicking Horse River. Mexico and Puerto Rico share a single two-page spread at the end. The bonus feature on “mountain retreats” is interesting and there is an extensive index of towns at the back. A typically reliable effort from Rand McNally.
