Heavy bottomed and does the job, but I wish that it had the indentation to hold it steady on the stove while adding spices.

Have been wanting a nice Tadka/ Thallipu Pan for my Indian kitchen. I love Hawkins products and this one like the other ones are very sturdy and I love how the handle doesn't get hot even though it looks like the same material. They have put a marking on the handle to make sure you don't touch beyond that point as it may be hot. Amazing heat distribution. It's well worth the hype and price.

I bought two of these pans, one in 1.5 cup and another in 2.5 cup size, and I am very impressed with them. Great size and safe for large batches or tadka. Evenly distributes heat and cooks evenly. heavy duty. Definitely heavier than 1.5 cup pan but better. Good value for money. Though they only give 5 year warranty but it’s gonna last lifetime. Better than any HexClad
