I.T. guy here. Ubiquiti is my go-to for prosumer and small business networking gear and these NanoBeam transceivers are no exception. These work standalone or can be integrated/managed by existing Ubiquity equipment such as the UDM Pro which I tend to buy.

There are 2 versions of this product. One with 1 Ethernet Port which uses one type of firmware. One with 2 ethernet Ports which uses another type of firmware. I ordered this unit because the vendor listed the unit had 1 Ethernet Port. The vendor shipped the unit type with the 2 ethernet ports. If you need the feature set only provided by a specific version of firmware, this is a disappointing experience.

Works as intended. But that's what you come to expect from Ubiquity. Solid product at an affordable price.

Once I waded through the setup process I was able to setup an access point and a station. There is a learning curve and it’s steep. There is an app available that is vital in setup. It is called UISP. It communicates with the nano beam unit for 15 minutes after power on, assisting in setup. These devices are geared towards IT professionals and comes with no instructions. Detailed written instructions are NOT available, that I could find. There are several YouTube instructions available, but some are ambiguous. There are several mobile apps available but only one or two are necessary. There is an app available that is vital in setup. It is called UISP. I am impressed with the distance and bandwidth that I have achieved. I was disappointed and frustrated with the difficulty with achieving it.
