if you like Sumtra coffee, you will love this coffee
I used to have Starbucks coffee on my subscribe and save, which I was getting about 32oz for ~$13. But, they raised the price 50%. So I chose this Amazon Fresh Sumatra as a replacement. I actually think that this is a better coffee. It makes a nice strong cup of coffee, without being overly acidic. It has a decent kick of caffeine without being overly strong. Overall I prefer this coffee over the previous blend coffee. And it is Organic and Fair trade, which I'm not sure my previous coffee was. Also, the previous coffee came in one 2-pound package, and this is in three 12oz packages, which I think keeps the coffee fresher.

Surprisingly pretty good
This was actually surprisingly pretty good for the price. I overlooked this because of the price, PLUS the fact that the last time I tried a cheaper Amazon brand ground coffee. It was so disgusting, that I ended up throwing the entire bag away the same day I got it. It was THAT bad. It tasted like woodchips mixed with cardboard. Tasted nothing like coffee. This one is supposed to be certified organic non-Gmo. Compared to the other. Which is what I tend to stick with most of the time as it just simply tastes better. I simply could not afford any more of my previous coffee grounds. Things are extremely tight. So I looked at this and the ratings. Generally I go for basic medium roast. However I do like Sumatra, and though Sumatra is generally listed under dark roast, I've had Sumatra listed under medium roast. Seeing that the medium had acidity to it, and it was described as tart. That is a huge No-No for my taste. As I prefer deeper, richer, and more chocolatey undertones to my coffee. I hate fruity acidic coffee. Sumatra is supposed to have that. So even though I generally do not get dark coffee in fear of it just tasting like burnt ash. I went with it. I will say this, if Amazon doesn't price gouge me in the future. And suddenly Jack the price up to like $14, like someone else said they did to them ( it's already increased a dollar in less than 24 hours after buying it) . Then I will return and stick to this until I have more money to afford a higher quality one. However this one is acceptable. It does have a mild chocolatey like undertone to it. But it's not as strong and rich as some that I've had before that were more expensive. But it's good enough to satisfy me. It has an acceptable bitterness to it, maybe a little bit more than I would prefer. But again it's acceptable. I like a mild amount of bitterness as it helps with the illusion of a type of dark chocolate flavor. I agree with someone else, that you might need to add a little extra more depending on your taste to get the flavor you want. The Best Brands that I had required much less and were very concentrated. So if you want to make sure you have enough flavor. Make sure you add extra, more than your default higher quality one. I do get the complaint about packaging. Mine came with some grounds that had escaped out of the bag. Via the little hole in the front. It also just opened up really weird and was a struggle. I had to end up cutting it open and then being creative with it to close it back. Thankfully mine did not taste stale. But I will take the measures that I need to to keep air from getting to it and ruining it. Again amazon, if you do not Jack the price up. I will stick to this brand for right now as an affordable brand of coffee. Because Lord knows I cannot afford to spend 15$ to $24 a bag for coffee anymore. However I can afford $6.

Excellent Price for Fair Trade Organic Dark Roast
I'm very particular about the coffee I drink. I only buy organic (health reasons) and prefer a medium dark roast. Many brands only have a French or Italian option for dark roast. This Sumatra is a solid option -- decent flavor and half the price of anything else organic out there. I would appreciate a whole bean option or a finder grind (I do pour over), but for the price I can't complain!

Great flavor / affordable price
This is an excellent coffee. Full bodied flavor, dark roast, not bitter. I only bought this because some friends were serving it at their lake house. My wife, who is a coffee snob, loves this much more than any of her foo foo, high dollar stuff. I'm a what-ever-is-on-sale guy, but this is very affordable, especially the 3 pack. highly recommended.

Not bad, not great, watch price!
Ok dark coffee, but Subscribe and Save price went up a few dollars after initial purchase, with no notice. Thankfully I cancelled next order before it shipped. Coffee comparatively just ok anyway.

Peru medium roast great!
Peru medium roast is smooth and tastes great. I do not like strong bitter coffee. I will definitely order this again, my favorite coffee now!

Good enough and cheap enough organic dark coffee to buy again, and i already did.
*EDIT; for some reason this coffee is good enough if i steep it. like french press or cold press ice fridge coffee. i just percolated a batch and it is Dee Fuggin Skusting! ive accidentally drank pee before and this is worse. steep it if youare going to use this. *dripped its a 2 star coffee. not bad. too many spoiled cry babies in the USA. this is not the best coffee i have ever had. i bought the dark one. -its strong, i like that. -its a little bitter, i like that. -its cheaper than other organic dark coffee, i like that -cry babies cry about ripped bags, i do not give a f if my bag rips or even catches fire, i dont buy coffee for the bag. these people are pathetic that cry about shipping and packaging. WHAT ABOUT THE PRODUCT? btw, my bags didnt rip bc i actually am not a r and know how to open a bag. also, if they did rip, i own glass jars, i own bags, i own boxes, i own an eclectic collection of all sorts of containers that can hold coffee.
