Bandai Hobby EX-Standard Rising Freedom Gundam SD Model Kit

My twin brother’s first gunpla, he wanted to try it out. He found it easy to assemble and really detailed for what it is. Overall good value got money, and high quality like all of Bandai’s Gundam model kits.

For ease of assembling the model this gets 5 stars. Was grateful it didn't have the tiny easy-to-misplace pieces that some of the bigger kits include. However, i have to say, the teeny tiny little stickers are a PAIN in the _ to stick on, especially in those tight, tiny spaces. Granted this is intended for kids and they might love getting to place the stickers. I guess my disappointment is that coming from the entry grade kits to these is annoying as there can be so many stickers. Still, my personal nitpick aside, I won't dock any stars. The plastic feels solid enough for how small this is in hand, and if you're familiar with painting model kits then the stickers won't really be an issue as you can just paint up the parts yourself. All in all, if this is intended as a starter model kit for someone new, it's pretty straightforward to build, and the plastic is sturdy enough that it won't break if a light breeze passes over it. It's chibi look games it a cute add-on for work stations at the office, and if you go with the stickers or with painting its colorful enough to brighten up whatever area you set it down in.

Love the size of the SD Rising Freedom. The only down side is the color correcting stickers for the wings

this little guy is adorable, it was easy to build, the amount of stickers was annoying but not as bad to apply unlike some other more complex models. i only got this guy to see how it would be to build an SD grade gundam, and i like it. overall i'd recommended it.

You could snap this together in 15 minutes, the instructions are Japanese but are picture and diagrams with easy to understand instructions. For the price it's very much a quality hobby kit.

While I love the rest of this little SD kit, and it has hyped me up for the SEED Freedom movie, the stickers on this kit are just a nightmare to work with. I know that's generally standard for SD kits, but compared to the others I've built (Robinhood AGE-2 & Wukong Impulse), the stickers here rip super easily, are super hard to place, and have so many nooks and crannies they have to fit into. I recommend painting if you have the time and supplies.

It was a quick and fun build but the stickers were a little hard to put on its tough I feel like It can fall from my shelf without breaking 5/5

I have not built a SD gundam for the last 2 decade. Can not believe how much the SD kits have changed. So much more details than 20 years ago.

Offert à mon fils pour lui faire découvrir. Les assemblage sont faciles malgré la notice en japonais. Par contre pour les découpes, la présence d'un adulte est conseillé. La pose des stickers n'est pas évidente sur une si petit maquette. Les modèles 1/100 sont plus accessibles sur ce point mais tellement plus dure à assembler.
