Good for lathe work. This emory cloth lasts a good long while when turning pens. I have only used it for this purpose but expect that it would be equally impressive on any cylindrical woodworking project or to polish up and clean metals.

It is what it is and does what it should. It tears very well, which is critical for a roll of emery cloth. This allows you to tear off the correct working amount. It is appropriately durable.
