Probably best in class
Detailed Review of the UGREEN Revodok Thunderbolt 4 Dock I recently purchased the UGREEN Revodok Thunderbolt 4 Dock, and after several weeks of use, I can confidently say it is an excellent product, especially at its price point of £250. This dock stands out for its value, performance, and build quality, making it an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a reliable Thunderbolt 4 solution. Key Features and Performance 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Port The inclusion of a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port is a fantastic feature, offering blazing-fast network speeds for those who rely on stable, high-bandwidth wired connections. This addition is particularly valuable for professionals who need dependable performance for tasks like video conferencing, large file transfers, or remote work setups. 92W Power Delivery The dock delivers 92 watts of power to my laptop, which is more than sufficient for my MacBook. This ensures that my laptop stays charged even during demanding workloads, such as video editing or running multiple virtual machines. The power delivery is consistent, and I have had no issues with charging interruptions. Thermal Management One thing I was concerned about was overheating, but I’m pleased to report that the unit stays cool even under heavy usage. The dock's thermal management system works effectively, so it’s suitable for extended work sessions without any performance throttling or excessive heat buildup. Compact and Durable Design The dock’s compact size makes it easy to integrate into any workspace, and its sturdy build quality exudes reliability. UGREEN has established a reputation for creating dependable products, and this dock is no exception. The materials feel premium, and the design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Comparison with the Caldigit TS4 The only true rival to the UGREEN Revodok in this category is the Caldigit TS4. While the Caldigit TS4 offers two additional USB-A ports and one extra USB-C port, these differences are relatively minor for most users. Functionally, the UGREEN dock delivers almost everything the TS4 does, at a significantly lower price point. Unless you specifically need the extra ports, there’s little reason to choose the Caldigit over the UGREEN Revodok. Overall Value At £250, the UGREEN Revodok is an incredible deal. It delivers high-end features like Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, and 92W power delivery at a price significantly lower than comparable docks. The performance, coupled with its compact design and excellent build quality, makes it a top choice for professionals and power users. Final Thoughts I have absolutely no complaints about the UGREEN Revodok Thunderbolt 4 Dock. It’s a well-rounded product that meets all my needs and more. If you’re in the market for a reliable Thunderbolt 4 dock that won’t break the bank, this is the one to get. UGREEN has once again delivered a product that combines functionality, quality, and affordability into one excellent package.

Good, except for micro SD card handling
I've been using this dock for a few months. Performance is very good, with fast transfer speeds to external NVME drives. It also connects my webcam (Elgato Facecam) and Scarlett pre-amp for online presentations, and is very satisfactory for both. Altogether, I'm pleased with the hub. There are two issues, one minor, one major (but avoidable). The minor one is the power light, situated under the on/off switch, is almost invisible unless the room is dark. This means it's a problem telling whether the unit is on or off (though, on the plus side, there's no annoying LED shining like a lighthouse in a darkened room). The major one is that micro SD cards get stuck in the front-facing slot. They are supposed to push and release, on a spring, but the action is poor to non-existent. My advice is to always use a micro-SD to SD adaptor … I've taped over the micro SD card slot to avoid losing one in the hub. One star docked for this rather poor design flaw. It's expensive, but fast and well specified.

Good complement to MacBook Air
Moving from a Mac Mini with external monitor to a MacBook Air left me short of ports to connect my external drives (for data and Time Machine) and printers. This appeared to fit the bill, and hasn't disappointed. Its solidly built, doesn't get hot and has a good arrray of USB/Thunderbolt ports and also an SD card reader. I havent checked data speeds etc but it seems to work pretty well transferring big RAW files into Lightroom and for general use. Also means I can connect my non WiFi printers. Not the cheapest Thunderbolt Dock around, but certainly works as promised.

Keeps Powering off.
The hub after a few weeks started to power off and on again disconnecting all the USB devices. This made it impossible to use.

Works exactly how i'd hoped
Works flawlessly for me. There's not much information online if you're running a monitor that's not 16:9. But my 21:9 3440x1440 monitor was able to get up to it's max 144hz. Just make sure you're plugging it into the correct USB C slot on your laptop! I'm also running it alongside a 1gbs ethernet connection as well as a keyboard, Logitech G Pro mouse adapter, microphone and portable HDD. All are working the same as if I was plugging them directly into my laptop. Really happy!

Compact
This is a very solid device, and weighty too, so it stays firmly in place. There’s plenty of ports, and a good variety of different types which has helped with all the devices I have around the M4 Mac mini. I have three external hard drives, an Apple DVD burner, and a 4K monitor all attached to the Mac either directly, or through the docking station. The only reason for not giving it a five star rating is, the light that shows the docking station is powered on, is almost invisible to see in daylight. iGreen, please make it brighter for future buyers. Apart from that minor issue I highly recommend this product… iGreen truly make great devices. This one was especially good due to the price reduction I was offered.

Best Dock for 4K 144Hz with Full RGB Support – A Game-Changer!
I previously used the CalDigit TS3+, but it couldn’t support 4K at 144Hz (for DCS). To achieve that, I had to use an additional DP 1.4 adapter connected directly to my MacBook Pro (M2 Max), which was a bit inconvenient due to the need for two separate cables. I researched numerous Thunderbolt 4 (TB4) docks, but most didn’t specifically mention support for 4K at 120Hz or higher. Some TB4 docks do have downstream TB4 ports, but I was concerned that using an additional DP 1.4 adapter might not provide full bandwidth for RGB 4:4:4. This was an issue I had already encountered with the CalDigit TS3+ (which, being TB3, inherently has lower bandwidth). Initially, I considered purchasing the UGREEN Revodok Max 313, which seemed like a higher-end model. However, it only includes one TB4 downstream port and appears to have limited bandwidth, which made it less appealing. If you’re looking for a single docking solution to support high refresh rates with RGB 4:4:4, this option is the best choice. Additionally, the included 1-meter TB4 cable is sufficiently long for most typical setups.

Great docking station
I’m really happy with this product! It works perfectly with my MacBook Pro, offering seamless connectivity and great performance. The compact design and reliable functionality make it a fantastic addition to my setup. The only minor downside is the lack of an HDMI port, but overall, it’s a solid and well-built product. Highly recommend it for MacBook users!
