Completely silent with a sweep second hand. Easy to see the time. The alarm works well increasing in volume until the button is pressed. Has a large easy-to-use button on the back so you can feel for it when you want to see the time during the night and have the dial light up. Nice size and it looks nice on the nightstand or in the bathroom if you so choose. It's also made well and doesn't feel or look cheap. And it only uses 1 AA battery.

Love this little clock! Just as described-works well. The little light is nice to see the time during the night. It’s very cute and the color (aqua) is just what I wanted. Highly recommend.

This clock is compact, nice looking and keeps great time.

This clock does not tick, but it has a bit of a grinding noise. If I lived in the city and not off grid in the quiet forest, I would not notice it. If there was traffic or any other noise, I would not hear it. I will put it in the kitchen and keep looking for a truly silent clock that does not use electricity. Maybe there is no such thing. I love how it looks, and the size is perfect.
