No more sagging gates! Heavy Duty for real
My gates originally had 3 each "600lb" hinges. They didn't last long. I came across these heavy duty hinges and gave them a try. I was surprised by how heavy duty they were. These also offer adjustability if you install them correctly. There is one small issue. The top hole cannot be accept the bolt with the gate on. Other than that they are great. Fitted with a grease zerk and a ball bearing. The bolt will fit perfectly inside a 1" dom pipe.

Impressed with this
These hinges were just what I wanted for my large gate. The way these are threaded make it really easy to adjust the angle of the gate as it relates to the ground. And these are stout, impressed and gate looks great

Only type hinge to use
Vast improvement over gate hinges tech! Weather proof, greasable, adjustable. Ball bearing operation is smooth and quiet. Perfect to stop gate sagging. I welded to post rather than bolt. Easily done.

Gate hinges
I installed these gate hinges on my 18 foot 350 pound gate. They worked awesome. I can open my gate, pushing it with one finger.I would highly recommend these for your heavy gate.

Good Support for a Heavy Gate.
So far, so good. I just installed this on a gate that weighs about 150 lbs. I needed something that swings both ways and durable. It was a little bit of a struggle to instal, but only because I installed them by myself. I would recommend two people install. These seem to be built well and sturdy.

Good hinges for the price
Good quality hinges for the price. Pro tip: put a small amount of grease into the zerk fitting upon installation so the zerks don't seize up. Then when you actually need to grease them, they will accept grease well. For these hinges, plan for exactly 4" between the face of the hinge post and the nearest face of the gate frame. This leaves about 5/16" of threads and allows for adjustability. You could get away with 3.5" between each, perhaps less if you countersink/counterbore the gate frame, or switch to jam nuts instead of the provided nuts.I opted for 4" to allow for adjustability over time, and installed vertical wood pickets to close the hinge gap to the customer's desired gap. One last thing, be sure to check the hinges to ensure they are square. if not, just clamp them down and use a ~24" piece of pipe to bend them to 90 degrees. This is a common issue with affordable J hinges, luckily it is not a hard fix.

Works
Just built 8x8’barn doors with fresh rough cut wood. Probably weighs 300 lbs. handles with ease can open door with 1 finger. Just make sure you have a 1 1/8” box wrench for the nuts
