Pacific Foods Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup, 16.3 oz Can

Mildly spicy (not "hot") corn chowder. Not a liquid soup. It is creamy, thick and well.. a chowder. It is lovely on its own, but I prefer to add a hunk of bread to dip into it. Would also be nice poured over some rice or potatoes. Good mouth feel. Plenty of texture to feel like I am eating something. I can taste corn, poblano peppers, chili powder. I can taste cumin, which is part of chili powder. Overall has a depth of flavor and freshness I didnt expect from a canned product. Food comes down to preference. Cant take my 5 star review for it. You may love it, or may dislike it. I just like the occasional canned meal, and I prefer that it isnt a brothy liquid soup. I prefer a more full feeling, and so a creamy chunky soup is what I look for. This Chowder meets and exceeds those expectations. I also like when other foods can be added to it to further boost the volume. So if a can of this chowder is $2.71-3.19, and I want to feed 2 people, well I would need more than one can. BUT I can instead still use one can and enjoy the flavor by using it as a topper to rice, noodles, or potatoes, or with a big hunk of fresh baked bread or roll. I intended to take a pic, but I started shoveling this into my mouth and totally forgot. Maybe next can I eat I will remember to take a pic and share.

This soup is so good. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it. I will order it again and enjoy it every time. The flavors of the ingredients blend perfectly.

When it comes to canned soups I have found Pacific brand to be a cut above the rest for wholesomeness and taste. This corn chowder is so sweet I checked the ingredient list for added sugar. There is none - it is very sweet corn. It is heavy on corn, could use more potatoes, there are few peppers of any kind. It is not spicy. I still like it - I always add veggies to canned soups to bulk them up anyway. This is the only corn chowder I found that contains no meat. ALL canned soups are high in sodium but to me this is mainly very sweet, doesn't taste salty, although it is high sodium

I love the taste of this. I have always been a fan of corn chowder, and the poblano pepper is a great addition to it. I like this so much that I have ordered more of it. Also, it was on sale so it was a great deal. I usually eat this with some extra crackers or chips and a little cheese on top.

Mild heat. Tasty. Easy snack or meal.

For me it was just okay, but I will not buy it again. Pro: It's organic Con: Very strong taste of cumin.

Easy OK option for gluten free canned soup

So delicious. It tastes amazing. I am so addicted to this and have been eating it several times a week lately because it's so good. I didn't find it spicy. I mean it is, but the perfect amount. I would consider it a mild spicy, similar to a mild salsa. So for this soup it's perfect. When it comes to spiciness like in indian and Thai food, I usually order medium, which is a lot hotter than this. But I've never been into things that burn my tongue, so not sure why in other reviews people are acting like this is so hot.. it's only a little bit. I personally find it filling enough for a meal as well. But I'm vegetarian, so used to filling up on veggies. You could add cheese and bread if you wanted to make it more filling. I love that it has potato chunks in it. So good. The perfect vegetarian soup. It makes a wonderful, easy, low calorie, healthy meal. The only thing is it does have quite a bit of sodium, but most soups and packaged foods do. If they sold a low sodium version that would be even healthier. Love the fast shipping. I can order it whenever I need more and it's delivered quickly... Usually in a day.
