BUY this mattress if your hips hurt
UPDATE 16 Months: We still love our beds. We have two of them. Even as heavy people we don't have any spots that have weird sink holes. My back and body have never felt better thanks to these mattresses. I suggest these to all of my friends, family, and clients and everyone has been thankful for the recommendation. You are getting a great quality bed that is safe to sleep on for very little money. Sleep is super important at our house and I wish we would have gotten these earlier. We cosleep with our children and these mattresses are perfect for that. Our infant has slept in this bed since about 20 minutes after birth with no issues. Our daughter loves it and doesn't like going to sleep at grandmas anymore because her bed isn't comfortable enough. UPDATE 6 Months: I love this bed still. We have two. I can't imagine life without them. They are wonderful. I sleep so well and I am 42 weeks along and 120lbs overweight. They are both 12 inches now and don't have any weird spots where we lay. First review:This is only day two with the mattress. I will update later for a better review. I am pregnant and was in the worst pain. My back and hips hurt so bad. I couldn't sleep. Walking hurt. Sitting hurt. After one night on this mattress I felt so much better. Now after two days I feel like I have a brand new body. I even rode comfortably in the car for two hours today without pain and I usually can't go that long. This is a great mattress for people with back and hip pain(mine is mostly from being overweight). It did smell a bit funny when we opened it. I put a nice mattress cover on it and it hides the smell pretty well. It isn't as bad smelling as a memory foam pillow I bought once. Now two days later the smell is way less when I move the cover. We bought two of these mattresses. One in each room. So far I would absolutely suggest this mattress. It still isn't 12 inches but it says that it may take a week when its cold. I will update once the smell is gone and the mattress is 12 inches so you know how long they both took. oh! I sleep on my back, stomach, and both sides and all are comfortable. Its not too firm or too soft. It came out of the box perfect with no rips, tears, or stains. Update day 11. I still love them. We bought two and they aren't the same. One inflated more and is firmer. The other is still around 9/10 inches and it is much softer. I like it better. The smell is still there when I take the covers off but it isn't bad. If I left them uncovered for a day it would really help but I can't risk it with kids and dogs in the house. I wake up each morning feeling like I have someone else's body. I wish I would have bought this bed years ago. The edges are lower on all sides of both beds, if you sleep close to the edge you will sort of be rolled towards the ground so try to stay a few inches in. Its really cold here right now so it may just need a bit more time to fully inflate. Personally I hope the one stays where it is at because its much softer.

Most comfortable mattress I've ever owned
I purchased the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen size. It has three different layers of foam and is not a hybrid model. First is the 4.5" high-density base support foam, next is the 1.5" comfort foam, and on top is the 2" gel-infused memory foam. This is the first foam mattress I've ever owned, and I'll never go back to using the old box spring mattresses I've had all my life. The first night I slept on it with only a single sheet covering over the mattress and I was stunned by how nice and comfortable it feels compared to everything I've ever slept on before. The second day I installed the SafeRest Queen Size Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector, which is quite thin as it's a mattress protector and not a mattress "pad." I noticed no difference in how it feels in any way with this addition after using the bed all day and sleeping for 8 hours the second night. I believe it's so comfortable because of how your body sinks down into the foam slightly which supports your mass more uniformly than other surfaces can. Don't get me wrong about this, it's still a quite firm mattress so it's not like you sink way down into it. I wish there was some way I could better express just how much I love my new Zinus mattress!!! This is like sleeping on a cloud! I've read some negative reviews about people who've removed the cover that comes on the mattress to wash it or for whatever reason and then went nuts complaining about loose fiberglass fragments they encountered afterward. I believe the tiny amount of fiberglass material built into the cover is part of the fire-retardant material that makes up the cover. I also believe the warning the manufacturer gives about not removing the cover is their way of being over-cautious about the possibility of customers coming into contact with fiberglass fibers if they do so, and anyone who has removed the cover has NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES for any problems they encounter for failing to follow the manufacturers instructions. I haven't removed the cover on mine but I did open the zipper about 12" so that I could stick my bare forearm inside and rub it around to see for myself if there really was loose fiberglass fiber but I didn't notice any indication of this at all. My recommendation if you ever feel the need to remove the cover to wash it or whatever is remove the cover, deflate the air out of it and then CLOSE the zipper (without turning it inside out) and then arrange it around the center post of your washing machine. This will ensure the inside and outside of the cover won't come into contact with each other. Wash on a delicate setting, no bleach, then after removing it from the washing machine don't put it in the dryer, just lay it out on the floor to dry before putting it back on. The first picture was taken just 5 minutes after removing the mattress from the box and it's a full 7". 36 hours later it had expanded to the full 8" as can be seen in the second picture. After about 36 hours it was fully expanded and was very smooth and flat with square edges, and it looks almost perfect in every way. I have no idea how long this mattress might last, but after paying only $200 plus $18 in sales tax with free shipping it's easy and cheap enough to replace. I'm still using my old bottom box frame but since the distance between the support slats is a full 6" on my old base, I show in the third picture how I installed (with a few screws) some pieces of 1/4" plywood to the top of it for better support for the foam mattress. I simply bought and installed 3 pieces of 1/4" plywood at 24" x 48". I needed to cut the width of one piece for the foot end of the bed down 4" so that the plywood would break over the supports slat of the old box base. If you choose to follow my example you may need to modify this to some extent depending on the spacing of the support slats of your base.

Best mattress for such a good price too! Decided to give a go due to recommendations from my brother and brother/sister in law whom both have it. My brother who has had his 12 inch for 8 years and still sees no difference in quality, and feels no difference in comfort. Hubby prefers a soft plushy mattress. I prefer one that is a little more firm. I am not sure how but this offers both. Though it has the firmness I feel a good mattress needs, it’s also soft and plush. It pretty well forms your body. Best mattress we’ve ever owned—first time buying mattress in a box! Wont go back to those in store high price mattresses ever again. We bought the 10 inch king and it’s perfect for us!

Paquete entregado un día antes, genial. Por otro lado, el colchón muy cómodo. La verdad que mejor de lo que esperaba. Excelente artículo y el precio accesible. Lo volería a comprar sin duda alguna.

TLDR: Great mattress considering its thickness. Good support. Adequate combination of firmness and softness. I had a very good experience with another 14 inch mattress from Zinus before (I had to give it up because of moving), so when I needed a thinner guest mattress I thought I should give this one a try. I have been sleeping on it every night for the past 2 weeks and I haven't had any back pain issues so far. It is firmer than my old 14 inch Zinus mattress. Nevertheless, it still does a good job considering it is much thinner and has no springs. The memory foam is comfy and helps with my comfort as I'm a side sleeper. It inflated within a couple of hours, but I let it rest for 48 hours just to be on the safe side. It was in its full thickness after 12 hours though ( I didn't notice any visible change after that). It didn't have any bad/plastic smell either. Pros: * Right balance of firmness and comfort * Fits under my queen bed easily * Detachable and washable cover Cons: * Slightly firmer than what I like, but it is not a deal breaker Verdict: If you have space under one of your beds and want to host a guest, do not hesitate to get this mattress. They'll love it!

Having been a loyal Zinus customer for several years, I have consistently found their products and packaging to be of high quality. Delivery and Setup (5/5) The mattress arrived securely packaged in its compressed "bed-in-a-box" format and was in flawless condition. Unboxing was simple, though the King size was heavy and required assistance. The mattress achieved its full loft and final dimensions within approximately 24 hours. Performance and Comfort (4/5) The aesthetic and surface feel of the mattress are excellent. After a week of use, the most significant observation is its therapeutic quality: it genuinely reduces back and shoulder pain, exactly as advertised. However, I have noted that the mattress is less firm than anticipated. Although it does not retain body impressions, it does exhibit considerable sinkage under the weight of a 140 lb individual. This raises a slight concern regarding its durability and how well it will maintain its supportive qualities over an extended period without forming permanent dips.

I’m very happy with the Zinus Twin 8-inch mattress. It was easy to unpack, and it expanded to its full size within a few hours. The medium-firm feel provides good support while still being comfortable for everyday sleep. I use this mattress on a metal bed frame, and I added a plywood board underneath for extra support. With this setup, the mattress feels very stable and supportive, with no sagging. It contours well to the body and helps reduce pressure points, and I’ve noticed less stiffness in the mornings compared to my previous mattress. The mattress feels well made for the price, and there was only a mild odor when first opened, which disappeared quickly. Overall, this is an excellent mattress for the price and works very well with a solid support base. I would definitely recommend it.
