I used one of these to adapt a 1" iron fitting to 1/2" brass ball valve for a direct tap after my gas meter to feed a portable tri-fuel generator. When these arrived I found them to be cleanly cut and finished without any apparent defects. After fitting all the pieces together with PTFE tape and Teflon dope, I found no leaks anywhere in the work. That's about the most and the best you an ask from any fittings.

Used these in the quarter turn valves at the hot water heater. Reduced from 1 inch valves down to the 3/4 inch flexible pipes that connect to the hot water heater. Teflon tape and pipe dope on the threads. Perfect.
