Great expansion for the original game. Sea Salt and Paper is a family favorite! This expansion adds a little more variety to the base game.

It's an interesting expansion, and a good addition to the base game, with two minor complaints: 1. The seahorse card is completely busted (way too strong, and also makes mermaids stronger because they are the same color), so my group usually takes it out. This is fine though, the game does not suffer from removing the seahorse. 2. The sea star card rules are a little ambiguous. In particular, does it grant +2 points if it's left in your hand at the end of the game without having been played? My group has decided that it is worth points unplayed if you also have an unplayed duo, but not otherwise. The number of cards you get is slightly too few for the price, and the printing quality is slightly worse than the base cards (they are off-center, as you can see from the uneven border). But the game is still great, and the expansion was a worthwhile purchase.

Great expansion to a great game

Sea Salt and Paper is a great little card game for people of all game interests. Easy to learn. This little expansion adds some fun effects to the game and is great to play with. No point in playing without it! Highly recommend this small card game and this Sea Salt Expansion. The only downside, is it does make the box have lid lift when included in the original box.
