Rapid Review Pathology 5th Edition

It's a good tool to review pathology for USMLE step 1.

The Legendary Dr. Goljan Returns! This is an ABSOLUTE must have for any Medical Student! This book is terrific! This can be used in your core courses or preparing for Step 1. This book covers it all very well, and Dr. Goljan explains everything very simply. The quick notes on the margins help a ton if you just need a quick refresh, or are short on time. The practice questions that come along with the book are terrific also!No one beats Dr. Goljan, he is a LEGEND in the medical community for a reason. His sources, updated pictures and graphics are terrific. This is a book I will carry with me throughout the rest of my medical career!

A friend recommended this to me for use during dedicated Step prep, and I wish I’d gotten it sooner! It’s like Robbins & Pathoma had a baby: detailed yet concise in outline format with high yield phrases in the margins. A must have for Step 1 prep, and certainly wouldn’t hurt to have during preclinical years, too!

Currently first year medical student. This book is great for an overview of major concepts and could be used as a preview to upcoming lectures. Though when studying and comparing details to class materials, the book doesn’t go into all fine details. I also find it does a fine job of stating board relevant, and finger tip facts, but does come up a tad short of clear explanations on “why” for some complicated disease processes. I’d buy it again for sure, but still looking for a dynamic duo to pair it with.

Goljan I think is one of the best pathology teachers ever and the content of the book is great. Besdies, the code that gives you access to the online book version is great because you can search any disease in seconds. Very recommended for Med Students.

Elsevier used to have inkling as their ebooks website. The quality and contents are good. But at 06/01/23 they transfer all the books to elsevier ebooks website which sucks!The images on this website have very low quality. The contents,for example in this book, the image I uploaded, the link2-1 is not accessible. There tons of links in this book to help you learn, but all of them are not accessible.The customer service sucks too, I've been communicating with them for 20days, they still can not solve problems.

Love this book to go along with the Goljan lectures. Makes path so simple
