NOT real truffle, therefore too expensive, but okay for what it is
The oil itself is a mixture of sunflower and olive oil. I kind of wish it was pure olive oil, but that's not the end of the world. This isn't real truffle, it's an artificial concoction designed to taste similar to truffle. If the product description were clear and the bottle were half this price, I'd say "so be it" and still rate it highly because honestly, I still love the flavor. But for a product with synthetic flavoring, you shouldn't have to pay too much more than the cost of the oil itself. So two stars off because 1) the product description dances around the fact that it's not real truffle, and 2) it's too expensive for a synthetic product. That said, I still like it. When cooking with it, you tend to lose the flavor, so I recommend using a standard olive oil (or whatever cooking oil of choice) and then using this as a finishing oil. It makes a huge difference. So don't get me wrong, this is a good oil to have in the kitchen, just don't fall for the ambiguous wording and think that there's any real truffle in there.
