Bought to use with a smart TV to allow pausing/recording of live TV.Didn't check capacity, formatting, etc via a PC, just plugged it straight in to the back of the TV and it worked. Can't comment on longevity but so far so good.Note, from a quick look, I think the case is a mix of plastic (main body) and alloy (ends), which is totally fine, although there is currently another SUHSAI model that looks to be all alloy for ~50p more!

when my wife loaded some work information onto this portable hard drive , the hard drive crashed and my wife was unable to retrieve any information from this item . My wife lost her works information , a very poor purchase from amazon .
