2C-175 Black Oxide Plated Steel Two-Piece Clamping Collar, 1-3/4" Bore Size, 2-3/4" Outside Diameter, 5/16"-24 x 1" Set Screw

I bought this to use as a shaft collar. I can't use it as intended because the bore is not the specified dimension due to a changing radius. I can see where the radius begins to change which means these are probably pressed into shape rather than forged or cut, which means that almost all of these will probably have the same defect to some degree.So far I've purchased this size and the 1 1/2" version. They both have the same type of defect. I've just ordered the 1 5/8 version in hopes that they've corrected this defect or it doesn't affect all sizes of the collar.If your use is not dimension-critical, it seems to be well milled with no rough edges. The screw slots are well cut and matched, the threads seem to be properly tapped and the supplied screws are adequate.

Nice and heavy

Using grade 8 hardware, I mounted a gun safe to a metal bed frame using the collars. Excellent fit and finish.

poor milling, the threads do not extend through both pieces, but more frustrating is it comes with flanged screws so it can't connect to the other half. waste of money. can't give zero stars, so one is selected.

Quality it looks goodbut not the dimension it haves the shape like a egg not round like it supposed to be

Put them on a cage for my belts on a track car. Works fine, hasn't backed out at all
