Top notch product
Love this product, I used it with my Uni oven to sear some steaks after cooking them sous vide and worked perfectly. I particularly like the foot pads provided with the skillet to rest on my oven need and safely.

Great for steaks
I’m guessing it’s good at all sorts of things, but a steak in the pizza oven is the best. I would recommend a thicker cut for optimal results. It came missing a screw from the bottom plate, they shipped me a whole new one.

Fits on the center burner between other pots and pans
This is perfect for my gas stove. I can sizzle stuff on the center burner while I have a couple of woks on the front burners.

Fits, Fires, and Feeling Good
I ordered this so I could better stowaway some camp kitchen gear. (I realize that’s not how it’s advertised, but my needs called for it). A typical cast iron pan has the handle attached and it does not fit where I need it to go, modification is possible but not on the particular pan I had (inherited heirloom type). This called for a new pan all together which brought me to this little guy. It’s heavy but also lightweight. It’s smaller in stature but deep enough for sauce and gravy and four eggs at a time! The handle is hefty and lends to the sturdiness when in use. The stand that it comes with is tough and stylish, however I do not use it and gave it to somebody who can. I am satisfied after quite a few uses. Note: I did take off with great effort the factory seasoning and did my own process. Not to say it wasn’t fine in the first place, but I have a specific preference. You may feel the same as me.

Good cast iron, but wooden trivet cracked
Good cast iron, that fits perfectly even in the 12" grill. Gave me a good crust on the first steak I tried. The trivet that came with it was wood and not metal as pictured. That wood cracked from the heat on first use. Not a deal breaker, but not ideal.

Good, but pricey skillet.
So... this is an Ooni product which means its primary target customers are those who use Ooni or similar pizza ovens. The folks at Ooni were pretty astute in identifying a problem and coming up with a nice solution. The problem is that the pizza ovens tend to have a hotspot at some point in the cooking chamber. If you are using cast iron (which is great for this) in the oven to cook all sorts of things, it needs to be rotated to not overcook at the hotspot. Still with me? So, cast iron with handles won't work. Solution: make the handle removable. Great. So to this end, this is a novel solution to that problem and honestly it works as designed. The only downside is the cost. This is a pretty pricey piece of cast iron imo. (But, I'll say that it does seem like pretty good quality.) I have since found that I can accomplish the same objective by using the Lodge 10.25 inch cast-iron bakers skillet. It is 40% of the price of the Ooni skillet and more than an inch bigger in diameter. Now, there's no handle on the Lodge pan, but that why I own and use a good pair of heat resistant gloves. I even use these gloves to rotate the Ooni pan. So, in conclusion. Nice pan that solves a problem, but there are less expensive ways to go?

I love the pan. It’s a good size and the sides aren’t too high. You must season it for it to cook without sticking. I did barramundi skin side down to see if it stuck. Fish skin crisp and not stuck. Good buy

So gelingt Grillgemüse mit Feta auf der Grizzlerplatte 1. Vorheizen: Platte sehr heiß vorwärmen (Pizzaofen: einige Minuten, Gasgrill: mittelhoch bis hoch, Induktion: hohe Stufe). 2. Gemüse vorbereiten: Zucchini, Paprika, rote Zwiebel in grobe Stücke. In Olivenöl, Zitronenabrieb, Oregano, Salz, Pfeffer und etwas Knoblauch wenden. 3. Scharf anrösten: Gemüse in einer Lage auf die trockene heiße Platte, 2–4 Minuten ohne Bewegen anrösten, dann wenden. 4. Feta dazu: Feta in Würfeln/Bröseln darübergeben. Im Pizzaofen/mit Grilldeckel 2–3 Minuten gratinieren, bis der Feta leicht bräunt. 5. Finish: Mit etwas Honig oder Chili-Flocken, frischer Petersilie und einem Spritzer Zitrone abrunden. Pflege-Tipps • Nach dem Garen warm mit heißem Wasser und Bürste reinigen (keine Spülmittel nötig), gründlich trocknen und dünn einölen. • Hitzeschutz benutzen – Griff/Platte werden sehr heiß. Fazit: Eine starke, vielseitige Gusseisen-Grillpfanne, die besonders bei Grillgemüse mit Feta glänzt und ebenso souverän Steaks, Lachs oder Halloumi meistert. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung – ★★★★★ (5/5).
