First was great, this new one better
Gave the first incarnation of Skinners 5 stars. They deserve it, the most uncompromising minimalist shoe I know [the official term is 'barefoot', but I dislike oxymorons, 'minimalist' more fitting], making all the competition less-than-minimalist. I'm hardcore, often going foot-naked if not entering a public facility, and down [walking/running] to ~ 25 degrees. Stopped wearing narrow toe-boxes in 1983, elevated heels [including running shoes] in 1994. This new version claimed numerous improvements: I trusted some of them, but was wary of compromise given the new insole; I don't fault them for the choice, these barefoot companies repeatedly thicken the outsole and/or add/thicken an insole, for example, in response to feedback on the initial design... situation is generally compromise or fail, otherwise they're running a charity. Sole Runners, e.g., adjusted by offering normal, 'wide' [still narrow], and 'extra-wide' [i.e., foot-shaped]. So I bought this new one - instantly disapproved, because of the insole and... because it felt different from the first. That initial feel-disapproval faded quick enough; the larger toe-box is appreciated. As for the insole, it is removeable [knew that], and, UNlike other 'barefoot' shoes like Vivo or Sole-runners, removing the Skinners insoles does not compromise the fit. The fact that the insole a] tightens the fit a bit, and b] buffers the ground-interaction a touch, makes it a better nature or athletic shoe where tighter fit and increased ground-insulation are desirable. I wear it day-to-day insoleless. Therefore, these new Skinners are an all-terrain vehicle. Like the 2-tone-blending more too. That I'm Czech, like the shoes, is a happy bonus. Five-stars-PLUS.

Great barefoot shoe
I have had a few pairs (going back to their kickstarter), they last a long time (given what they are) and are my go to workout shoe.

Great product, badly sized, ridiculous returns!
Okay, first of all, this product is great for its intended purpose. Very comfortable, with great foot protection for simulated barefoot hiking. That said, as many have noted, the sizing is way off. I wear a women's size 10 to 10.5, so I bought a Medium, which is supposed to fit 9.5-10.5. They were so long, my husband could wear them (like 2" too long). I returned and got a Small - which is just barely long enough (like toes right up against the end). So the difference between M and S is more like it should be between L and S. About returns - be forewarned! Even though the product ships from the US and arrives in a just a few days, you have to mail it back to the Czech Republic for returns!! YOU have to prepay for the return, and then supposedly they'll reimburse the $24.50 shipping cost. We shall see. . .

It picks up here is from the carpet.
The Skinner sock shoe offers exceptional comfort, suitable for various surfaces such as pavement, grass, and dirt, as well as indoor use. However, one notable consideration is that the shoe's sole tends to accumulate carpet hairs until it is properly broken in, requiring regular cleaning. Nonetheless, I appreciate its comfort.

Not for small feet
They seemed great, sadly even the XXS was too big with about an inch between my toes and the end of the sock/shoe. I wear a size 6.5 women's.

Not the same as "original"
I have 3 pair of Skinners I ordered in previous years and they are great! However when I decided to get another pair and ordered these they are NOT THE SAME! The toes are squared off and they are huge. i thought I had the perfect item for my needs and now have been ripped off for over $70.00 for sock shoes I will never wear. I am a super disappointed customer who found a great product and then was cheated by a bait and swtich.

Best Sock/Shows For the Money
I have purchased several brands of “walking socks”. Skinners in by far the highest quality, best fitting and most durable of all offered. If you suffer from foot pain specifically Planter Fasciitis these sock/shoes are the very best. Also they are very durable.
