It really does wipe right off!

This actually works pretty good when you have to cover up the lines with paint. Now, if they can only have the leads or whatever the material is, in black for the lighter surfaces or gray.. It worked out pretty good.The only thing when you pull the item out of the box be very careful, if it even hits the carpet it will break and that’s it. Those inserts are very delicate.

I saw this while watching a "how-to" rock painting video. The artist recommended this item to outline your design FIRST before painting, especially writing words. Use a paper towel to wipe away and redo if you don't like your first attempt. Lasts a LONG time!

Bought this because I thought it was going to work for what I need it for...it works well, but it's soapstone-not the softest of material for painted surfaces. It's not a "marker" per se. You can find it cheaper including the holder and round refills from other vendors on Amazon. Nothing super special.
