The Spal 30100384 is a 12-inch high-performance pusher fan delivering an impressive 1038 CFM airflow at 2500 RPM, designed specifically for radiator cooling in demanding automotive applications. Operating at 13 volts with a 15 amp fuse requirement, it ensures robust and reliable engine temperature management. Its standard 3-pin connector and compact pusher configuration make it ideal for custom builds or replacements where front radiator mounting is essential. While it produces a noticeable 50 dB noise level, this is a fair trade-off for its exceptional cooling capacity, making it a top choice for performance vehicles and hot climates.

Detailed Review: Spal 30100384 12-Inch Pusher Fan – High-Performance Cooling with a Critical Wattage Caveat The Spal 30100384 is a 12-inch electric pusher-style fan, designed for robust air cooling applications, primarily for automotive radiators. Bearing the reputable Spal name, this fan aims to provide substantial airflow to keep engine temperatures in check, especially in demanding conditions. Key Features & Performance: Pusher Configuration: As a 'pusher' fan, it's specifically engineered to mount on the front side of a radiator or heat exchanger, pushing air through the core towards the engine bay. This configuration is crucial for specific vehicle layouts or custom builds where space behind the radiator is limited, or for supplemental cooling. Impressive Airflow: At its core, the 30100384 delivers significant cooling capability. With a maximum rotational speed of 2500 RPM, it boasts an exceptional air flow capacity of 1038 Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM). For a 12-inch fan, this CFM rating is very strong, indicating it can effectively dissipate heat from even high-output engines or systems, making it suitable for performance vehicles, towing, or hot climates. Power Requirements & Crucial Discrepancy: Operating at 13 Volts, consistent with automotive electrical systems (slightly above 12V when charging), the fan requires a 15 Amp fuse for safe and proper operation. This fuse rating is critical as it implies a real-world power draw closer to 195 watts (13V * 15A), which is a common and appropriate power draw for a high-performance fan of this caliber. However, it is absolutely critical for potential buyers to note the listed 'Wattage' of 15 watts appears to be a significant error or misprint. A 12-inch fan pushing over 1000 CFM at 2500 RPM simply cannot achieve this on 15 watts. Buyers should plan for a power draw commensurate with a 15 Amp fuse (approximately 195 watts) and ensure their vehicle's electrical system and wiring can adequately support this. Connectivity: Connectivity is handled via a standard 3-Pin power connector, offering straightforward integration into most custom or existing wiring harnesses, though specific wiring diagrams may be needed for advanced setups or if the third pin offers a feature beyond basic power/ground. Compatibility: Explicitly listed as compatible with "Radiators," confirming its primary intended application. Noise Level: Regarding acoustics, the Spal 30100384 operates at a noise level of 50 dB. While not excessively loud, 50 dB is an audible level, comparable to a quiet refrigerator or light rainfall. This noise level is generally a necessary trade-off for its high airflow performance. Users seeking a near-silent cooling solution might find it noticeable, but for a high-performance automotive application, it's often considered acceptable. Overall Impression & Ideal User: The Spal 30100384 12-inch pusher fan presents itself as a robust and high-performing cooling solution, backed by a respected brand in automotive thermal management. Its impressive 1038 CFM airflow makes it a strong contender for demanding radiator applications where effective heat dissipation is paramount. This fan is ideally suited for automotive enthusiasts, custom builders, or those needing a reliable replacement fan for radiator cooling where space dictates a pusher configuration and a 12-inch diameter fits. Its high airflow makes it particularly effective for performance vehicles, off-road applications, or vehicles operating in hot climates. The primary point of caution for buyers is the significant discrepancy in the listed wattage. It is strongly advised to disregard the "15 watts" figure and instead plan for the power draw indicated by the "15 Amp fuse" requirement (approx. 195 watts) to avoid undersizing wiring or power sources. Pros: Exceptional Air Flow (1038 CFM): Provides very effective cooling for demanding applications. Reputable Spal Brand: Known for quality and performance in automotive cooling. Robust Performance: High RPM (2500) contributes to strong cooling power. Standard 12-inch Size: Versatile for many custom and replacement applications. Dedicated Pusher Design: Ideal for specific mounting requirements in front of the radiator. 13V Operation: Compatible with standard automotive electrical systems. Cons: Critical Discrepancy in Listed Wattage: The "15 watts" figure is highly misleading and contradicts the 15-amp fuse requirement (actual power consumption is closer to 195 watts). Buyers must plan for the higher power draw. Noticeable Noise Level (50 dB): While acceptable for its application, it's not a silent fan. Pusher-Only Configuration: While a feature, it limits mounting flexibility compared to reversible or puller-style fans.

GREAT PRODUCT!!! 5TH SPAL FAN TO OWN AND NO PROBLEMS.
This is my 3th Spal fan to own through the years. I've always been very satisfied with their fit and performance. I think it's a great value compared to other "big name" brands. I have used them on my desert truck and daily drivers. This particular fan was purchased as an aux radiator fan for my 2020 Tacoma. It fits between the radiator and the front grille cross members. Not quite centered, but really close. Puts out plenty of CFMs. My days are filled with stop and go driving on a mail route in Texas so I wanted a little bit of help moving air across the radiator and condenser coils. After 3 months of use it's working fine. Like I said earlier, this is my 5th Spal fan. I always buy Spal. I've never had any issues with them and I think they are a great value compared to other name brands.
