Best Air Fryer for Pizza Making!
I watched a video of Emma Fontanella from YouTube making Neapolitan Pizzas in the Typhur Dome Air Fryer 2 and decided I needed to try it. I waited for Prime Day to snag this amazing Air Fryer for $285 in July, 2025 and I was not disappointed making my first 10” Neapolitan Pizza using Emma’s 3-Ingredient Pizza Dough Recipe. I no longer need to use my outdoor pizza oven because this fabulous air fryer makes a super crispy crust (I put cornmeal on the bottom of the dough for that extra crisp) and it delivered a tried and true pizza. I will never order pizza from my local pizza place again! The additional bottom heating element makes a huge difference delivering an amazing crispy crust without having a super high 500-600 degree indoor or outdoor oven. I use the Built in Pizza Setting which is set at 340 Degrees for 14 minutes with an 8 minute Pre-Heat and it works perfectly for a homemade pizza crust. The lower temperature setting ensures my top doesn’t burn but the newly added bottom heating element makes sure the crust comes out crispy. You will not be disappointed! Another great feature is how quiet it is and how it does not get super hot when in use. I have also made homemade French Fries and BBQ Chicken in here and it came out perfectly. I personally prefer to use this primarily as my pizza oven though it does have a great Self-Cleaning function if I decide to use it for making other messier items. But you need to initiate that through the app on your phone which I have yet to try. I stick to my cheaper Gourmia Air Fryer for that as I like to keep this more expensive air fryer clean more often. Overall, I am very pleased with this Air Fryer and feel like I got my money’s worth as I can easily make Neapolitan Pizzas when friends and family come over and they are pleasantly surprised at how good they come out considering they were cooked in an Air Fryer. I added a picture of the pizza size in the Air Fryer which as you can see still has plenty of room for a larger pizza. The other pic is the finished pizza which was devoured in record time.

Best Air Fryer!
Love this air fryer! I purchased it based on a recommendation from a YouTuber. I have not regretted it. I’ve been using it for three weeks now. It's a workhorse and very high-quality. I will admit there’s some learning you have to do, however, if you take the time to really learn about this machine, I believe you will love it too! Be sure to look into the preset buttons, and by the way there are MORE presets in the app, because each one has a different fan speed, and it uses either the top or the bottom burner as the main heat source. Some of the presets will preheat and some will not. It may sound complicated, but it’s not and it’s more than worth the bit of time it takes to learn to use it properly. For the first week and a half I didn’t bother with the presets. I just manually entered the time and the temperature. Once I realized how they work, the presets are really a game changer. I have attached a picture of a spreadsheet I put together to somewhat document the preset settings. The temperatures and times are variable. It’s not official, just something I put together based on information I got from the website. The air fryer takes up a bit of space on the countertop. It weighs 20 pounds so I won't be putting it away after each use. Besides, I want to use it all the time so I don't want to put it up every time I use it. I have a tiny kitchen, so I bought a shelf to set it on so that I don't lose any counter space. This was a perfect solution. Be sure to leave room for the air vent in the back. This may be the biggest air fryer on the market, but from what I have read and watched in online reviews, it will last you for the long haul as opposed to purchasing a smaller one and then realizing you can’t really make anything significant in it. This thing is so quiet I often check to make sure that it’s on and from my understanding most air fryers are quite loud. The finish on the surface of the basket and on the grill plate that comes with it are so easy to clean. I usually wipe it out with a paper towel and then easily clean it with dish soap and water. So far NOTHING STICKS! I almost forgot the self cleaning feature! There are two modes: there's just self cleaning and then there's a deep clean. I've only used the self cleaning and it was amazing. This is to clean the heating coils, removing food and fat that get on them during cooking. It's my understanding that for most air fryers, cleaning the heating elements can be a real bear of a process and may not always be successful. The app is very user-friendly. The website is full of great ideas and recipes. Customer Service is a dream to work with. At this point, they still have a 30 day price guarantee. Within a week of purchasing my air fryer Amazon put it on sale for $50 less. I contacted Typhur customer service and within 24 hours I had a $50 credit on my Amazon account. What else can I say? If you really want to enjoy the air fryer experience, get the best one. It's my opinion that this IS the best one! UPDATE 12/24/25: I still love my air fryer and use it every day! I cook, chicken, salmon, steak, bacon, without having to heat up my big oven. But the main reason I had to place this update is due to even more high-end customer service by Typhur. Early last week I was cooking with my air fryer. I pulled the basket out and turned around to set it on the counter top behind me. I apparently hadn’t set it down securely as I instantly heard a horrifying crash, turned around, and saw the basket laying on the floor with a smashed handle. I was heartbroken as I use this every day, but I remembered seeing a replacement basket on Amazon for around $60. But first I decided to contact Typhur Customer Service via email to see if I could buy just the handle. They wrote back within about FIVE MINUTES that they had placed an order to send me a a complimentary replacement! I was thrilled and in the back of my mind, I was wondering how I was going to replace this handle when I received it. Fast-forward a week I came home and there on my front porch was a big box. I had no idea what could be in it. Turns out It was a brand new COMPLETE BASKET for my dome 2 air fryer! Not just the replacement handle! These days, when customer service can be spotty, it is really refreshing that a company would go above and beyond like this.

Best air Fryer on the market but it needs a fan speed control and more useful app
There's a lot of confusing information floating around about harmful chemicals on the cooking area or inside the basket. You'll have to do your own research there. I can tell you this cook better than any air fryer ive ever owned. I would highly recommend it, but the company should do something about the app functionality. The app is very limited for setting up cook times temperatures and fan speeds. I had to reach out to the company to understand the fan speed options, which are just controlled through the different settings on the front. You don't really get a direct fan speed control. So for example, if you're cooking a pizza you have to start slowly so don't blow off the pizza. But if you want a very crispy, Krust, you have to step up the fan speed. If you step up the temperature, you'll burn the toppings, but you have to wait until the top is nice and melted before you can turn up the fan speed or the blow all over the inside and over the coil. I almost exclusively use the bacon setting, which is low fan speed and then adjust the temperature according to what I'm cooking. I haven't figured out how to use the other buttons. The company isn't very helpful telling which button to use. I've cooked steak, fish, chicken and once you figure out the settings it turns out perfectly. I feel like the app should be more useful to help you with the settings and they should provide more help on setting fan speeds cook times and temperature. The wide flat basket makes it much more useful than the deep basket air fryers. It's easy to clean. if it wasn't for the frustration, of not knowing the settings. I'm having to deal with that each time and remember what worked best last time I would give this thing five stars at $500 it should be a lot more user-friendly. If you do email the company, they are extremely helpful, but I don't wanna email the company every time I wanna cook a meal. UPDATE: 10/13/24 I am bumping my review to five stars because the performance and design is excellent, and the fact that the customer service actually care to improve and support the product. It's the best air fryer on the market hands down. Customer service did continue to work with me and the communication was exceptional. With their assistance, I've been able to use the device much better. I would love to see the app be more useful. For example, if you're cooking a pizza, it needs to start out slow, but then pick up at the end to crisp the crust. Maybe in the app if they had different examples thick piece of salmon thin piece of salmon cod chicken, wings, chicken breast, thin chicken breast, breaded chicken or whatever.

Well done. A perfect design and something you actually want on your countertop. Works perfectly.
I have resisted air fryers for years and now I'm hooked! This one is fantastic for the large footprint. I love the heating elements both on top and below, preventing you from having to shake it over and over. I just used the self cleaning option the other day and you have two choices, regular clean and deep clean and it worked like a charm. I can make all kinds of things in it. The best thing is using it for leftovers and it tastes like it just came from the kitchen the 1st time! Lots of great features on it. I am absolutely thrilled to have spent a bit more for this amazing appliance.

Fantastic Air Fryer, Worth Every Penny!
I recently purchased the Typhur Dome 2 Air Fryer, and it has completely transformed my cooking experience! This air fryer is a powerhouse with its spacious basket that easily fits a 12-inch pizza or a big batch of wings for family dinners. The dual heating elements cook food evenly without needing to flip, giving me perfectly crispy fries and juicy steaks every time. I was amazed at how quiet it is—barely noticeable even when running at full power. Cleanup is a dream thanks to the non-stick ceramic basket and the self-cleaning mode, which handles grease effortlessly. The 15 cooking modes are super versatile (I’ve tried air frying and baking), and the smart app lets me control it from my phone, which is a game-changer when I’m multitasking. The sleek design looks amazing on my counter, too. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the quality, speed, and features make it worth every cent. Highly recommend the Typhur Dome 2 to anyone looking for a top-tier air fryer!

HELP.....
Updated: I managed a return to Amazon with what I thought was a wrong item. On YTube, I saw several Dome machines that looked like it had more of menu then mine. I assumed I had the wrong machine or a broken one. After having to get help, and a lot of packing and lifting from someone, it got returned and I got my new one. You can imagine my surprise when I thought it had the same issue. In the meantime,Typhur had also reached out to offer a refund. So below is an updated review with pros and cons and what caused the confusion. Both Amazon and Typhur offered excellent customer service. PROS: Top and bottom element. Self cleaning but top area only. Nice large basket. Ceramic basket, not Tephlon. Cooks food well. CONS: If you don't have internet, you can't use cleaning function and won't have access to the extended menu. This the cause of my problem and a lot of wasted time. While you can do presets from your phone, you can't start it from your phone. Have to start if from the machine. But then you can't do presets from the machine unless you have the app. Some fixes need to be done. In general, it's a nice machine and does what it should. It works as should to a point. I noticed on videos that there are 10 options on the screen. My screen only shows 8 options. I don't have an option for bacon or dehydration. And yes I checked and I ordered Dome 2. TYPHUR, PLEASE HELP.

Expensive, but worth it.
As air fryers go, they don't come any better than this one. I got my first one a few years ago. A casori. And it became one of the most used pieces of kitchen equipment I ever owned so I knew that this one would be a good investment. Even so, the default pricing is a hell of an ask that I just couldn't bring myself to get on board with. Lo and behold, I find out it goes on sale very often. Picked this one up for about $350. Definitely worth it at that price. The bottom heating element is a game changer and takes it from a convenient but quirky device, to a legit piece of equipment that can do some heavy lifting. I've cooked frozen pizzas, and homemade pizzas in it, and they come out perfect. I've cooked a steak in it, and I still have to dial that in but it got a good sear on the bottom side. There's a bunch of different settings, only some of which are available on the display. To get access to the rest you'll need the app. They don't just control time and temperature either. Different settings use different fan speeds and combinations of heating elements, so there will be a lot of experimentation involved to dial in what setting might be optimal for what you're trying to do. I think this machine's one drawback is that the cooking compartment is rather shallow, so there are some things that may not fit. I haven't tried cooking a chicken in it yet, but it feels like that might be too tall unless I spatchcock it. Though if It were much taller, this thing would be a monster sitting around on your kitchen counters. It takes up a lot of space as is. All in all, very solid piece of equipment.

Love the Typhur Dome 2 Air fryer
This is a super air fryer! I also have a Insta Air Fryer that I really like--especially for items too thick for the Typur Dome 2. The Dome 2 holds lots of wings and cooks them beautifully crisp. It is super for both frozen and fresh 12 inch pizzas and has an easy to use pizza setting. It cleans easily and syncs with my Typur wireless thermometers to cook meat exactly too desired temps. I use it daily.
