It works as advertised
I bought this band clamp to use to hold together a small box I was gluing up. The clamp is very easy to use and does the job perfectly. The positions of the corner pieces are totally and easily adjustable and the clamp provides plenty of clamping pressure evenly around the object.I have a similar Pony-brand clamp made by Jorgenson. This clamp is slightly larger overall than the Pony. Quality seems to be very similar. The Pony clamp has aluminum strap toggles whereas this clap has heavy plastic toggles. Both work fine. The Pony is also about twice the price of the Powertec.I made the mistake of purchasing a different clamp that uses a ratchet system instead of the screw handle of the Powertec to tighten the strap. It is terrible - almost impossible to use especially when trying to keep the materials you're clamping aligned - and a total waste of money. The tightening system on this clamp and others like it is vastly superior. The main problem with this type of clamp is how to contain the excess strap and keep it from falling all over the place and getting tangled up. This one uses a small spindle and a rubber band to keep the excess rolled up neatly. It's an effective and simple solution. My Pony clamp uses the same system. Of course, the rubber band isn't going to hold up forever, but it will be an easy fix when it eventually breaks. At this price, this is a no-brainer. It works. It's cheap. It's good.

Very nice clamp
Ordered two of these to use when gluing wood projects. Works great for making boxes. Easier than using corner clamps and I can clamp the sides tighter.

Useful but don't forget your square
These are handy clamps that make box or picture frame making a lot easier. The strap is long enough to fit up to mid-size applications. The corners move easily and hold well. The only ding I give it is that the webbing stretches the first couple times you use it so you need to come back and tighten again once in a while. The other thing to remember is that it helps KEEP something square but it doesn't MAKE it square. It gets close but you need to perfect it with a real square before walking away.

Love it
Worked great to DIY a 4’x3’ frame! Wish I did more of that but this was well worth the cost.

Solid secure clamping pressure.
I made a few boxes about 10" x 7", not very big. These clamps held the box easily flush and square. It was a little cumbersome getting the corners in position while drawing in the straps and tightening the clamps. But that could be just because of my procedure. I think for a larger box these wood work great. Maybe they have a smaller size that would be better for my use. But once I got it in position, it clamped down nice and tight. I like how the outfeed straps can be gathered up around the supplied spool and kept tiddy. This clamping system is better that using 4 or 6 C- or F- style clamps. Much lighter and compact. I'll be using these for glue ups whenever I can.

Gets the job done but could be better
This strap clamp gets the job done well enough, but it's not convenient to use by any stretch of the imagination. This was the second strap clamp I bought for my shop, with the first one being a Bessey model with a built-in crank. I needed another and decided to try this because it's cheaper. But boy do I miss the crank! After using this once or twice, I went and bought another Bessey crank one. I'll keep this one for those rare times that I need 3, but it's definitely not an everyday use item!

Good clamp, no remorse.
I'm an absolute beginner wood worker, mostly build rough shelving & bee hives.I decided to try my hand at picture frames for some art I am giving as x-mas gifts. I bought this Powertec 71101 Delux Quick strap despite some of the negative feedback left by others. Their negative feedback actually helped me avoid the mistakes that they made.I made 4 picture frames out of red oak and simply used glue on the mitered corners. This strap clamp helped me tremendously. The corners are easily positioned and the locking cams equally as easy to tighten. The screen handle made final tightening just as easy. The key is to start with the straps as handntihht as you can get them with the screw handle all the way home. Then the final tightening can be made with the screw handle. I did have an issue with the corners popping off of the frames. But this was understandable because they are over an inch thick and I was clamping 3_4 inch thick pieces. I just added some spaces between my work bench and the clamped frames, which put the frames in the middle of the corner braces. Easy peasy.I am very happy that I bought this clamp. I'm looking forward to making 5 more frames after the holidays for my own pieces that have been sitting unframed for several years.I recommend this product for the small time hobbyist with a frugal eye.

Great strap clamp
In the past i used ratcheting strap clamps for gluing up wood boxes. They were awful to use! This new style of strap clamp is so easy to use. They seem to be well made. If you think you may have difficulty with the strap coming out of the clamp, simply tie a knot at the end of the strap and problem solved.I know there are many versions of this clamp on Amazon, but I have have purchased various other POWERTEC products in the past and I have always been happy with them so I went with this one. I have a friend with similar clamps from another manufacturer, and they seem flimsy compared compared to the POWERTEC.
