Good weight and shapes the lead well

As other reviewers say, it does the job.First time for me and like others comment, feels substantial and probably as heavy and good as wood.Only a real lead roofer may differ but for the novice seems fine

I bought this tool in conjunction with two other lead beating items,which as I remember used to be made of wood.Not that expensive and though I'll probably never use it again,has proved well worth its cost.

Lasted all this time

Does the job. Plastic dressers last forever. I used beech ones for years but am slowly converting to plastic although wood or plastic are better in certain applications. Particularly when hammering the dresser. If u spend couple of days hammering a wood dresser, it starts to disintegrate. But plastic is a bit slippery. So if you're dressing and need a bit of friction then wood is betterBut the bender is just fine. Ideal for dressing aprons over deep profiled tiles like a grovebury or me dip
