JK48563 Bright Spot Stainless Steel Kettle, 3000 W, 1.7 liters

Thrilled with purchase.

My wife wanted to have this kettle because it looks so nice, and I agree. However, as other reviewers have pointed out, the lid fits too tightly. This would be possible to remedy by bending the spring tabs that hold it on, but a far bigger drawback, with ours anyway, is that it doesn't cut out when it boils. It has always been late to cut out (i.e. it boiled for 10-15 seconds before switching off), but now it doesn't switch itself off at all. This is not only incredibly expensive in terms of electricity consumption, but also very dangerous. And like a fool, instead of returning it within the warranty period, I crossed my fingers and hoped it would get better - and now that it has got worse, I can't get a refund or a replacement and so I have to replace a 9-month-old kettle at my own expense.

Must admit it was chosen for its looks alone and it does look excellent , boils water fast and is well made. The only fault is that it is very noisy. I would happily buy again but other folk may find noise a problem

I love the colours. Using it for a month, no problem so far. Could be a bit more quieter that’s why I gave 4 stars

nice quality, matches any kitchen. i dont bother taking the top off as its a bit stiff, just put my water in through the spout. love this, it makes me smile

Looks great nice bright white with bright colour polka dots , boils fast, I use mine in my caravan.
