If you do photography and filmography, you know the nightmare of the moment you need your camera to operate and suddenly find, you are out of juice in the battery. These batteries, I have yet to run them down and I do a lot of filming. Was also transferring film from tape to disc on the same battery charge and it is still going strong. So with that long play plus, you also have to remember, they take just as long or longer to charge. I bought two of them and have to two 60 min. batteries that came with my camera. I haven't touched the 60 min batts. and am still going on the first charge with these extended batteries. Very well worth getting them and having an extra for stand by. You will not go wrong here.

Haven't had an opportunity to use the battery yet but it does appear to be fairly light which may indicate cheap construction inside. The price was great and the delivery was fantastic. The supplier certainly delivered as promised. Just not sure that the battery is all that good.

This battery doesn't work for 12 hours I assume this claim may be based upon the camera you're using. It does last for about 4 hours on the Canon XL2 3CCD MiniDV Camcorder I use it with.

This 12Hr battery gives me the time to complete a complete miniDV tape, I would like to purchase another if the price is still the same. I will be doing a lot of filming this summer.

Shipped quickly, arrived ahead of schedule. Charged up great. I dropped one time, and cracked the case. It still works.

Have now used this canon gl1 replacment battery pack twice. So far it is a great product. Charges at the same rate as te original battery and lasts just as long. Fast shipping.

The first charge got me 45 minutes of use. The second charge got me 15. I would not recommend this product.

The outer container for this battery is very thin. Out of box (shipped with very little packaging material) the cover was broken. Rather than ship it back (I should have..) I used a bit of super glue and made due with my fix for an important gig. The battery charges just fine but it falls way short of the 12hr mark. I figure i might get enough power for 3hrs of recording - and that might be stretching it. :( Overall for the price... you get what you pay for.
